    Pros

    As a fresh college graduate, it was easy to get hired at enterprise. It felt like I was still in college working with all young people. Enterprise is like one big fraternity.

    Cons

    Working 55 hours a week and dealing with impossible customers can slowly steal your soul. I didn't get a collegbe degree to wash cars in a suit.

    Pros

    Co-workers are great, the "us against them" mentality fosters tight relationships. Working at ERAC definitely helps with work ethic and understanding of consumer sales.

    Cons

    The opportunities for advancement are just not there anymore. With stagnation in the overall marketplace, starting at an entry-level position is akin to joining a pyramid scheme at the lowest level. The job gets zero respect, and the hours are brutal. Paradoxically, the company shoves free booze at employees, which has its own negative effects of DUIs, fights, and generally bad behavior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider converting the front-line sales position to a permanent job that includes commission, and reserving the "management training" program for actual management training.

    Pros

    Good job right out of college. Meet lots of people and made good drinking buddies. Better social perks rather than career. Branch atmosphere is not professional - everyone comes to work hungover.

    Cons

    Upper management feels a sense of entitlement, especially the Rideshare division out of Carson, CA. Additionally, workers are under paid and taken advantage of. Many previous employees speak of "golden handcuffs" or the "dangled carrot". Promises of advancement, never any action.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    When multiple employees come to you with a concern about management, try and get to the bottom of the problem rather than ignoring employee feedback. Also, when an entire division has to replace 80% of its employees, take action.

    Pros

    Good Benefits
    You get to meet new people
    You get to drive nice cars
    You get to learn a lot about the corporate world and all of its pitfalls

    Cons

    You will only start out making about $12/hr( oh and that's with a Bachelor Degree)
    You will be worked like a slave.... expect to work about 10-11 hrs/day
    Most people who work at Enterprise drink because they're miserable.... you will be pressured so get prepared
    You have to be fake to move up
    You have to wash cars in fancy suits
    You will not have a life
    People will steal cars from you
    You will move stores a lot
    You will have to work at the airport for about 4 months 12 hour shifts so that means, birthdays, holidays, hot summers, etc.

    Pay your employees a decent salary and give them a proper work/life balance.

    Good Training Program, Sometimes you get to work with cool people.

    Cons

    Salary is awful, If you like cleaning cars, driving around angry customers, and trying to sell them extra insurance they dont want then Enterprise is right for you. This by far was the worst job I ever had. I rather be homeless then work there again

    Hire minimum wage employees to do this job. Kids with college degrees are worth more then these jobs.

    Pros

    The goal of being employed here is to some day be a manager and the position training reflects this. Also, they give you discounts on renting cars from them.

    Cons

    EVERYONE is a management trainee. That said, who are these people kidding? Do you really think everyone actually buys that they will some day be the one running the show? Let's see, 5 management trainees per location... not sure we're gonna need this many managers. In the mean time, here's $30K a year to do my bidding. The pay will be just enough to barely keep yourself alive until you finally get that promotion. The hours are horrible: 7am-6pm M-F is pretty common, and you'll also be expected to pull shifts on every other Saturday. The culture is nauseating... the regional manager will come by and expect you to go to a "morale building" happy hour after you're done working your 10-13 hour shift so you might see your family before 9pm, he'll strongarm you into donating some of your pennies to the United Way (huge administration fees btw), and expect you to come in to work in a shirt and tie to rent cars. Your bill from the cleaners will be astronomical due to the disparity between your required attire versus requirements of the job , but they deem this worth it since Enterprise is soooo professional compared to HERTZ or ALAMO, who have a nice and neat polo and slacks combo with their logo printed on the shirt. After working here for a very short stint, I hereby refuse to even rent a car from Enterprise, let alone even consider employment with them ever again.
