    I loved my job!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsI really enjoyed my time with this company. I grew so much as a professional and have very fond memories of being part of a wonderful, fun and engaged team.

ConsSometimes they have some very strict rules that to do not take into consideration other factors. This may cause them to lose very committed, hardworking and talented people.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow more compassion and pay your people more so that you can keep great talent

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Good resume builder. Terrible pay, hours, and favoritism

    Management Trainee (Former Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsIt's a great place to build a resume and make a steady check (read: $11.67/hr, built in 10+ hours overtime/week)

    ConsLeadership - they play favorites.

Sales metrics - Not a level playing field: every store has a different business mix. Some are sales havens, some are affluent and full of wealthy clients. Compare temporary insurance sales working in a seedier part of town versus a body shop near wealthy neighborhoods. You are promoted solely off of this, proceed with caution.

Pay - $11.67/hr + 10 hours of $17/hr overtime. If you get into management, you'll still barely make $45k

Hours - 50+ hours per week, in a suit (if you're a guy) cleaning filthy cars in very hot or cold conditions, depending on where you live.

Customer Service - You have little to no power. Customers play the game all day, and you will endure their abuse and accommodate them based on the "completely satisfied" 5/5 customer service rating your branch is expected to make. ESQI, everybody! Additionally: Assuming you have a great customer service store, it only reflects on your branch - not you.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour business model is to burn through recent college grads by dangling a carrot of promotions and career growth. Try investing in them a little more, and re-vamping your arcane sales metrics to level the playing field.

    I was overworked and underpaid.

    Management Trainee (Former Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

Proslooks great if you want to go into sales

    Cons-hours
    -unethical practices
    -unrealistic sales expectations
-women were expected to pick up men often times very far away and bring them back to the locations, sometimes up to 45 minutes rides with strange men who lived in scary neighborhoods

Advice to Senior Managementtreat your employees with respect and enforce ethical sales practices

    Assistant Manager at ERAC

    Management Assistant (Current Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsPrepares you for the corporate business world and allows you to run your own business.

ConsStressful scenarios with long hours that do not provide enough compensation. Customers always get there way, all they have to do is complain to corporate.

Work is decent, coworkers are awesome, pay has potential.

    Management Trainee (Current Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsThere is room to grow within the company. Your coworkers will grow to become some of your closest friends, because you spend so much time with them. They do reward hard work! And the management experience and training you get right away is great.

ConsBe prepared to work. The hours are long and often repetitive. The pay is not the best at the lower level.

    Underpaid and overworked

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsThey teach you basic principles on how to run a business and provide great sales training.

ConsYou will work 55+ hours a week and start out making $32000. It's very cut throat and has high turnover. Management promotes based on favorites and dislikes sharing any opinions other than the ones they share.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to ensure the "work life balance" you preach about. Stand behind your employees and worry less about every dollar youre making and more about the people helping you make those dollars!

    NOT a place for professionals

    Management Trainee (Former Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsKeeps you busy if you hate being at home and do not enjoy social activities.

ConsAfter you gain a hard earned 4 year degree, they train you to do anything in high heels and an expensive suit including wash a car, inflate tires and run through the rain. Visiting questionable areas of your city to pick up questionable people whom you are alone in the car with for up to 45 minutes. Company does not seem to value intelligence, instead appearing to promote those with the most criminal versatility/sociopathic tendencies.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf Enterprise would continue to require 4 year degrees and call it's program "Management Training", I would suggest more appropriate ways of hiring including behavioral and IQ tests as well as more actual outside sales training rather then focusing on pushing insurance.

    Beware!

    Management Assistant (Current Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsYoung workforce that is generally fun to work with. Usually good about being able to get days off for vacation or other reasons.

ConsThey work you to death. 50 plus hour weeks are the norm. You wash cars in your suit whether it is cold, hot, or in between. You don't get breaks other than an hour for lunch. If you have a bad sales month, upper management will freeze you out; meaning they don't talk to you as much and generally just don't care about you.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't treat your employees like slaves. Compensate them fairly. Hire more car preps. Employees in suits washing cars is ridiculous.

Part Salesperson / Part Car Washer

    Management Trainee (Former Employee)
    Raleigh, NC

ProsIt is an easy place to get a job. Right out of college I was looking for work and Enterprise was the first to give out an interview. If you like cars, it can be a fun place to be around, especially when you get a couple luxury cars on the lot. Of course you get to drive them but don't get in an accident or it will be your job (so they said).

ConsYou have to wash cars in your suit. This become very irritating during the summer months when it is 100 degrees outside.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay your employees a lot more and you will retain employees that will help improve your reputation.
