I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company and management very organized. Opportunity to move up fast within the company. Good pay, good work life balance. Many locations so easy to move if need be.

    Cons

Salary could be better. They don't always promote as fast as they say. Selling the extra insurance is very competitive and not always easy to sell since customers insurance rolls over once they are in a rental.

    Advice to Management

    None

You are involved in every aspect of the business at some point in your career. You can advance far in the company.

    Cons

Management positions are given to the best sales person, not the best manager.

    Advice to Management

You are missing out on some great managers because they don't function as super sales people.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Find misc. items left in cars which you could very well keep. Also a pretty chill job because you can wear whatever you like, and management doesn't stay on your back.

    Cons

The pay isn't as great as I would like

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Truly has movement up if you put in the effort. A lot of great, like-minded people who make the work day fun.

    Cons

Long hours and work weekends, which doesn't really bother myself but some do not like it. Once you hit a certain point, promotions can take a while to come around.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company promotes from within and that is what happens. It's nice that they reward hard work versus seniority but depending on the branch you are at it can be difficult to sell well. I was told during the interview process that I'd want to quit several times during the first year and I did. If you can handle the long hours, working in harsh weather conditions, and adequate pay at first then Enterprise could be a good place to work.

    Cons

Very long hours and crappy work life balance is the norm. Some managers are understanding when it comes to that but many are not. The technology sucks at home city locations and understaffing is a norm, too. Pay is what is until you can promote up and even then you have to get above branch manager to fo really well

    Advice to Management

Invest in decent technology and quit running the fleet size so tight. You're not the ones who have to tell the customer we're out of cars or our computers are down. A little better profit sharing or some commission would nice
