I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The management team is very supportive, and the coworkers are awesome. It is a fun and friendly environment that supports team work and helps each other out. They are also very supportive when it comes to managing school and working part time.

    Cons

Long hours and annoying customers. You work roughly 10 hours a day and deal with customers that are heated and angry at being there. It is definitely frustrating but also rewarding because I have learned a lot of patience

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider cutting back the hours for the employees by just a little to reduce turnover.

    I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car

    Pros

    great hands on experience
    knowledgeable management
get to learn about sales and management

    Cons

seems like there is not much upward mobility
long hours 7 a.m. until 6 pm. with no overtime pay
need to be a top seller to move up in company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not to get employee's hopes up with how fast they will move up in the company. One of the employees was a management trainee for about four years and because he couldn't sell the insurance he didn't advance in his career

    I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car

    Pros

Work with young people fresh out of college or a few years away from it on a daily basis.

    Cons

60+ hour weeks, working 7 AM - 7 PM 5 days a week then every other Saturday from 8 AM - 1 PM, no work life balance, only 7 pto days earned after 1 year, have to work 3 months before any benefits kick in, ridiculous customer demands/expectations, ridiculous management demands/expectations, washing cars in a suit 365 days a year (rain or shine), essentially the Management Trainee program is a pyramid scheme...the list goes on, so check out http://www.failingenterprise.com/forums/index.php for more info if you are thinking about working here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out work life balance. Pay more, work the management trainees less, and stop dangling the carrot.
