I worked at Entrust Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fellow colleagues smart and fun to work with. Excellent downtown Houston location. Some fun team building events.

    Cons

Politics and favoritism. Young company with young executives - lack of breadth of experience. Layoffs of most experienced employees. Lack of effective communication throughout organization. Too many executives and not enough resources to perform tasks.

    Advice to Management

Reduce executive headcount in order to save the jobs of the folks doing the work.

    Pros

Nice CEOs, Nice building, great agents, good environment. Thanks to the agents it feels as if you are working with family members.

    Cons

Most managers believe that they own the company, is hard to understand who you report too. The area where the call center is located, is very dangerous.

    Advice to Management

    Come back down to earth

    Pros

Growing company with opportunities for advancement. Managment accomodates personal needs while keeping the company's goals at the forefront

    Cons

Growing pains include need for effective information distribution. Sometimes the assumption that the information was passed on was not the case.

I worked at Entrust Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a feeling that you are creating something. You are led to believe that you can make a difference

    Cons

Sr. Leadership is self centered and can't take responsibility for the company. Issues are always "someone else's fault". If you try to address an issue, you are blamed for the issue. There is a reason that this company has had a 100% turnover of it's mid-management, has been stagnant in growth of the core business, and yet the entire Executive Team is still in tact.

    Advice to Management

Groom your employees instead of getting rid of people just because they don't agree with you.
