I worked at Envoy Airlines full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

When our station closed and everyone was furloughed, we were given 90 days of pay and notice to find new jobs. At United Airlines, they gave us 5 minutes notice.
Company was very friendly and flexible with the passengers.
Good work life balance with scheduling flexibilty.

    Cons

Not flexible in negotiating starting salary.
Due to no seniority, you have to work every single weekend.
Even management must shift trade to get certain days off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None at this time.

    Cons

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

    Everything else.
Management hates the employees and vice versa. They are constantly try to get concessions out of you for pay cuts. Only start work here as a last resort. There is no prospect for career advancement, and the airline will likely not exist in a few years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like human beings.

    Former Employee - Station Agent
    Former Employee - Station Agent

I worked at Envoy Airlines full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flight benefits. The job itself is challenging and exciting when you're not boiling over with frustration. Lots of downtime between flights. Strong sense of camaraderie with other agents if you can appreciate dark humor and the general sense of futility that comes with working there. Paid training in Dallas and elsewhere, and the ability to transfer to other stations after one year.

    Cons

Base pay is so low it's insulting to the work we do. Stressful being blamed by passengers for the mistakes of corporate. Corporate management does. not. care. about you, only their numbers. At cross-trained stations, the more you learn the more you will get thrown under the bus. Agents who sit back and do nothing are ignored by management while those who actually work are burdened with picking up the slack.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire yourselves. Your station agents, flight crews, and other lower level employees are the only thing holding this sham company together and you consistently deny them the support they desperately need to do their jobs and earn YOUR paycheck.

    Cons

Good workers work there butts off while people claim hostile work environment because they know how to work the system, anytime you confront them on his or her work ethic, Minoritys get special treatment.
