Pros
Excellent benefits. That's about it.
Cons
Revenue seems to be the #1 priority while it should be Customer Service. Company meetings lack true enthusiasm to motivate employees. Organization of resources severely lacking. Employment feels insecure after layoffs.
Advice to Senior Management
Get back to putting more focus on Customer Service. Setting unrealistic revenue goals does nothing but kill morale. If your customers are happy they will spread the word and that will lead to more sales. Right now you are going in the wrong direction. Pay your employees market value so they don't go elsewhere to be adequately compensated. Think about the knowledge and value an employee has before you just let them go to cut costs.
Pros
Good people/co-workers
Commission capabilities
Interesting industry
Cons
Communication from management in non-existant
Low project budgets/rates to work with
Unsupportive management
Pros
Excellent leadership, Diverse knowledge, and Driven
Cons
No real cons but would like to see more communication trickle down from the top.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you're doing!
Pros
It's a job. once you learn the ropes you can keep plugging away and as long as you achieve results it's fairly secure.
Cons
Product fraught with quality control issues, customers are dissatisfied and always ask for credits, the credits always hurt the consultant's numbers, the consultant's numbers directly affect remuneration, bad luck for the consultant. not their fault but dollars disappearing from their wallets each time.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't think just because the economy's down you can exploit the consultants busting their asses for you in the trenches. You need to support and reward the top consultants or they will leave. Many are on the verge and it just takes that one opportunity outside and they'll be out the door quicker than you can say "how much is my bonus this year".
Pros
flexible schedule, great people to work with with in the office, the things that I do is meaningful, keeps you on task.
Cons
sometimes the work day feels very long, people there are not always on task, its hard to make connections with clients.
Advice to Senior Management
So far it has been good, I can not think of any negative about the management. Keep up the good work.
Pros
Visionary - great product to represent
Enjoyable- have a great team who always thrive to do well
Rewarding- Quarter end results hitting targets- always a great buzz
Cons
For my department- not many really, if i had a wish list it would be a easier CRM system to suit the role of my team, but we manage and it works, It would work better for sure,
Advice to Senior Management
Early days to comment on this one, I have been here 4 years to see the change will be interesting, as long as positive and good for company and employees then I am happy.
Pros
Co-workers who truly believe in teamwork, take pride in their jobs with the data they provide as if they were the customer.
Cons
1-Constant layoffs and outsourcing have completely destroyed morale.
2-Microscopic raises for workforce every three years while Pervez Qureshi receives a 20% raise and half a million dollar bonus.
3-Zero communication. Townhall meetings are worthless and so dull they could put a pot of coffee to sleep.
4-Workforce needs help. The stress of having your job taken away no matter how well you perform has maded the place very depressing.
Advice to Senior Management
You always say that customers come first, which sounds good in a speech and looks good on a poster, but can you please explain to us how the layoffs and outsourcing has accomplishes that.
Pros
Good benefits - PTO - Overall the VP level management, Managers and most employees are great.
Cons
The thick layers of management create an environment where there are too many pseudo managers - Directors are more or less supervisors - and a great deal of the director level managers are completely incompetent. The former Epicor director level management is the most arrogant group of professionals I have ever encountered. The power trip they are on is surprising given the lack of power they actually yield not to mention the lack of experience they have.
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the Director tier of management, empower Managers that are capable of making things happen and this company may see a great deal more success. Having two levels of each step in the hierarchy is rediculous. This company needs a complete management overhaul, and I can only hope that Pervez taking over leadership at "The former Epicor" will change things a lot. Truly - this company needs help.
Pros
- You receive exposure to use numerous software products
- Paid time off
- Friendly employees
- 401K
- Fast paced
Cons
- Salaries are lower than similar positions at competing companies
- Working after-hours while on-call every few weeks
- Receive product training unrelated to supporting those products
- Documentation on how to support products non-existent
- Expected to learn how to support products on your own time, minimal training sessions
- Senior management ignores customer service and focuses only on revenue generation
- Lack of career path
Advice to Senior Management
Employee compensation is a big problem. Give your employees new ways to earn additional income. Please focus on providing excellent customer service for new and existing customers.
Pros
its a paycheck, although incentive is at an all time low
Cons
the combined company no longer pays for remote employee internet or phone services its considered a common thing for homes these days to have it so they dont think they should pay for it.
Advice to Senior Management
the investment firm needs to hear that the management is driving the company into the ground.. APAX Partners please take note that the ship is sinking faster than ever!
