    Pros

Benefits are awesome. The office is pretty amazing, and they offer some great perks, such as pizza usually weekly, snacks, coffee etc.

    Cons

Compensation was minimal, and annual reviews were unjust. The managers and supervisors were under so much stress from the upper division, that their misery was spread down to the "little people" on a daily basis. Any job within this company is all about the numbers, and if the company doesn't meet these numbers, then we all suffer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you are going to create a miserable work environment, as least compensate the people under you. The turnover in the lower level positions is astronomical because of this main fact.

    Pros

Its a paycheck and made some good friends there

    Cons

Management consists of a bunch of bloated arrogant puppets, one of which acted very inappropriately at a company meeting a few years ago with a lower level female employee (he is a married man). There is a serious disconnect in the management infrastructure, the customer support is a total embarrassment and they leave out critical information from employment contracts and essentially screw their people out of money. They also tend to put people with absolutely no personality in managerial positions.

VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS AND ABOVE ALL VALUE YOUR EMPLOYEES AND STOP TREATING THEM LIKE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS

    Pros

The two 45 minute breaks gives you something to look forward to during the day.
Very helpful co workers and product managers.

    Cons

    -Lack of support from management.
-Overworked with little appreciation, just do the bare minimum if you decide to work here.. Bent over backwards for this company and was talked down to by my own boss.
-lack of trust between management and employees, will get thrown under the bus.
-Very high turnover rate most likely due to poor management, low pay, and very low morale.

I recommend you don't waste your time, don't be fooled when they say they promote 60 percent of their employees. People just don't stay long enough to become promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

15 call center employees to handle the entire North American region is ridiculous. Phones are constantly ringing all while still having to reply to emails, enter orders, and setting up returns.

    Pros

Good benefits. Many good people in non-management positions. Formerly a place where you could expect promotions from within.

    Cons

The place is run by sound byte, and it's a personality contest. The only employees given respect are the sales people - of course, senior management have sales backgrounds. It is a gossip-rumor-mill at the most senior level where they act like teenagers, and talk badly about those not in the "in" crowd. Eppendorf is also very top heavy, they have many Managers and directors that do not have direct reports.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up and start leading. You are convinced you are doing this, but the place has poor morale for the most part, and now that you are beginning to enjoy laying people off, they are scared. Most people in your "in crowd" are just brown-nosing. Mr. Crowley, stop leading by the sound bytes you hear from others (DD) and take the time to figure things out for yourself.

    Pros

Eppendorf has great products you can rely on that are backed by a strong research and marketing team. HQ is quick to assist employees when additional product information and marketing assistance is needed.

    Cons

The sales management team is more focused on the bottom line than customer satisfaction, distributor participation and overall territory gains. Several reps during my tenure grew their territories by 10-20% yearly and were let go for "poor performance" despite rave customer and colleague reviews.
