Pros
Medical and dental benefits will be paid for 100% starting 2012. Lot of time off. Pay is OK. Seems to have decent opportunities for moving up or around.
Cons
Off-shoring every possible job, regardless of it ending in failure. Bonus structure is crap and somehow the average employee gets screwed over by parts of the structure they have no control over.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop the bloody outsourcing and start taking care of the employee instead of handing out empty promises. Seems like managed services is not treated equally among RNAM.
Pros
Pays market salary. Average employee benefits. Modern and bright office. Free parking for employees. Use of fitness centre near by.
Cons
Managers actually tell employees that they are over-paid and lucky to have a job at all. Zero chance to work on interesting projects or advance career based solely on merit. Employee morale is low compared to other software dev companies I've worked.
Pros
Good work,good onsite exposure,good team,best management
good work life balance
Cons
training in onsite needs boost up
Pros
“Silver link Technologies is the first company that I have worked for that actually follows their stated values and capitalizing on their employees. The way I have been treated shows that Silver link Technologies believes that "Employees Are Our Greatest Strength." It has been great working on a team with people from different cultures and different generations because I learn a lot from my co-workers and Silver Link Technologies provides you the opportunity to work in different geographies across the globe and enhancing your knowledge.
I also appreciate the amazing track record Silver link Technologies has had making sure "Profits and Growth Provide for Everything We Do." This is a rock solid company that has a very bright future.
Though my duration was for a year but I wish to work again in such a good environment.
Cons
In Silverlink technologies is completed
Advice to Senior Management
Silverlink
Pros
Real global compnay
Supportive management
Career advancement oppourtunities
Cons
Very much demanding
Difficult to strike work/life balance
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure you transfer vision down to your organization
Pros
If you are willing to go the extra mile, Ericsson is the place to be. Ericsson Management recognizes and rewards hardwork. Lot of exposure to top telecom service providers and their networks. You get to work with extremely smart (creme de la creme) people from Sweden and rest of the world.
Cons
Lots of Swedes visit ESV on LTA (long term assignment - max 2 years). When you feel like they have settled down and things are going really well, they will have to go back and someone new will replace him/her. On the bright side, if you are someone who wants to work in other parts of the world, it is a great opportunity.
Advice to Senior Management
ESV management team is doing great. Continue doing what you are doing.
Pros
You may not get high pay or get a good position fast. But it is stable and the working environment is okay.
Cons
Typical large company, thus you may find yourself bored since they have a mid-age employee group. Also, they do not provide foods.
Advice to Senior Management
The meeting is too much, and not very efficient. Better re-organize how they do it. Should reduce the times of meeting per week, and the topic should be chosen carefully.
Pros
very good culture, working environment, mobility
Cons
not qualified project manager
quick organizational changes
Pros
Ericsson as a company offers good employee benefit, such as
travel subsidize, and flexibility to work at your own hours
Cons
As it is a huge organization, sometime it is difficult to stand out and have management teams notice the accomplishments and results that individuals achieved.
Advice to Senior Management
There's a lot of good history and traditions at Ericsson, however with the new competitive dynamics, as a company we need to move a lot more faster
Pros
The Ericsson DUIB Bangalore was less than a year old when I joined. The set of Directors under a VP did a commendable job in putting together 150+ engineers and establishing basic processes.
Cons
One drawback is that most people in Bangalore office don't get to work in the next-gen upcoming product.
