some middle managers are competent and communicative, but most are not
huge disconnect between most managers and their employees
Advice to Senior Management
do real assessment of all managers top to bottom, and let those that cannot perform leave the company. Get rid of the real dead wood - not the dead wood that the managers decide to pick.

Good environment and flexible schedule. Collegues are very respectful and helpful in the day to day work.

no opportunity to grow within the company. Starting salary is low and very hard to get an adjustment.

Recent Imprvements initiatives are moving company towards a lower standard, Ericsson Sweden is a good company as well in some parts of the world.

1. Great easy going company.
2. Flexible hours - and possibility to relax and work from home at times.
3. Interesting and challenging technology
4. A lot of travel.

1. Not very transparent (Employees don't have much clue on what management is doing)
2. You could be stuck in a position for a long time - Hard to move around within the company.
3. Difficult to adapt to the new US ways of working.
4. Companies is slowly becoming picky and too cost aware.
5. Environment is going away from "team work" and more towards individual work.
Advice to Senior Management
Management at Ericsson right now is not doing a good job at keep the good Engineer in the company. They should learn to satisfy the needs of Engineers, and assure nice healthy and fair environment.
Pros
It is a worldwide company, and a high tech telecommunications business. You can work on high end projects, with some very competent engineers
Cons
They don't pay that much attention to the efforts of their employees. There is almost no reward. They can lay you out very easiliy even with many years of experience and a hard dedication.
Advice to Senior Management
Good manager overall, some of them are not that close with their employee or don't talk to them at all. Sometime you can be under the supervision of several managers.

Value your employees. Offer valuable recognition to your employees often. Offer better opportunities for career growth, based on skill and merit not relationships/friendships.
