    Maybe a little too relaxed?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look through how strategy is implemented overall, especially on lower levels. In the short time I have been at the company I have seen one giant lean implementation fail. And according to older colleagues it was not the first one...

    Pros

    - This company gives a work life balance with moderate work pressure and relaxed timelines.
    - R&D Unit of EGIL has good opportunity to find work of your interest and enough time to explore things.
    - Process is supreme and, every task need to follow a set process.

    Cons

    - For being big size company, it has sluggish response time sometimes.
    - Salaries are not very exciting, rather at moderate level.
    - When following standards and procedures already set, it is less flexible to adapt changes.
    - Designations are misleading, need to get equalize with industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

we need to change with time, if not at company level, at group/sub-group level.

Current Employee - Software Engineer in Málaga (Spain)

    Pros

I think the cofee machine works pretty fine

    Cons

    - Totally deprecated technologies
    - Mediocre bosses (Most of the dont even speak english properly)
    - Poor salaries
    - The worst office-ambiance I ever saw, external contractors are totally ignored while the oldy-fishes who have been working there for the last years (and almost take the company to the bankrupt) still try to destroy it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please, review some basical software engineering concepts such as Branch/Head subversion methodologies.. or try to learn better english.

    Pros

Ericsson, NA is a good company with a wide range of products and services. They pay competitively and offer a good compensation package. They have a good training program. They have a relaxed work environment with a lot of talented people to work with.

    Cons

They may still have a lot of legacy systems to support which may not add new skills to their employers working on those products.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The bonuses may not be great there. The office culture is not stressful and the work-life balance is pretty good.

Current Employee - Specialist in Calcutta (India)

    Pros

You can build your career, get a decent growth, learn your way into technology, good support from management in EGI-Customer Support. You can work with respect and with recognition, of course, if you deserve it.

    Cons

No many opportunities to stretch yourself, limited career growth after a certain amount of time-period, full of non-performing , inefficient staff and vertical pillars.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the non-performing staff and erase the organizational support for departments which have no accountability, waste company's money and has no role whatsoever to play. Every process should be time-bound and accountable.

Give potential employees opportunities to grow. Dont make them sit idle and dont let the communist propanganda that everyone is equal, because no one is.

Former Employee - Technician III in Plano, TX

    Pros

100% of benefits were paid for, including family! The pay was competitive too.

    Cons

The team that was charged with acclimating us with the transition to Ericsson from MetroPCS already knew that it was temporary and that our jobs were going to be outsourced to Mexico. They misled us to believe that we were safe.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't mislead your employees. Business is business, but you are playing with people's livelihoods.
