Advice to Senior Management
Pay me!
Pros
E&Y has great starting pay, and in general the experience level of your coworkers is pretty high. You might travel a little, which can be a plus or minus, and the staff is pretty young, like just out of college, which leads to some good socializing.
Cons
The downsides are that it's not a meritocracy - no matter how great work you do, it's your time there that's important. Getting promoted takes time, not skill.
Advice to Senior Management
Promote people based on achievement, and not on how long they've been at the company. I would also encourage management to increase bonuses, which were pretty low or non-existent.
Pros
Voted one of the top places to start your career.
Great technical experience is easy to obtain.
Relatively easy to access upper management.
Cons
Time sheets can be very tedious.
Restrictions on personal investments as a consequence of independence requirements.
Regardless of how many hours you work, you might not be recognized.
Advice to Senior Management
Uphold the company's motto "People First" by being more supportive of taking vacation.
Recognize and respond to staff's and seniors' desire and need to diversify their skill set.

Long hours and satisfaction depends on client

Advice to Senior Management
Management is good but maybe find a way to offer more bonuses to keep people around or make them feel like their long hours are appreciated.
Pros
Excellent resume builder which will allow you to easily find another job .
Cons
Say goodbye to your work/life balance. Expect to give up your saturdays and sundays during busy season, and if you're unlucky, you could be assigned to client with fiscal ye at 3/31, 6/30, and 9/30 also.
Advice to Senior Management
Remember all the things that you hated when you were a staff and try to relate to them. Just because you're now part of management, doesn't mean that you have to act like one of the jackasses.
