Pros
Work environment is something really enjoyable. Well structured authority structure. Die hard commitment in employee for EY brand name. Work life balance is great.
Cons
Middle management is not very competent where politics is dominant. Shared services salaries are poorly bench marked.
Advice to Senior Management
Bench marking shared services salaries and improving the quality of middle management.
Pros
Has a good brand name in the market
Cons
Long work hours and limited mobility between different teams
Advice to Senior Management
Be more transparent in terms of HR policies , specifically compensation at each level
Pros
Its a professionally enriching experience to be working in the Risk Advisory Division of Ernst & Young in India. The division has top of the line talent and some of the best clients around. So all in all a truly satisfying experience.
Cons
The quantum of work and the frequent travelling can easily get to one. Also, the fact that salaries are lesser than what industry offers can also be a negative.
Advice to Senior Management
More job-rotation for employees, try to ensure that they do not work on the same clients year after year and ensure that you provide them the exposure they are looking for.
Pros
brand image and nice projects
Cons
expectancy of work goes high
Advice to Senior Management
transparency of work being allotted and communication about the work being given
Pros
1. Good environment
2. Young people
3. Enthusiasm among peers
Cons
1. No personal life
2. Too much job pressure
3. No work life balance
Pros
very reputed MNC giving high salary
Cons
very hectic schedule with less holidays
Advice to Senior Management
leaves should be more
Pros
Highly entrepreneurial culture with exciting growth prospects for those that show dedication and initiative. Sector-focus allows staff to become sector experts as well as technical experts - great skill set to develop career.
Cons
Poor management with little support or direction. Very strong operational silos with individual partners running independent fiefdoms. No clear communication of firm strategy and poor engagement with staff.
Advice to Senior Management
Break down operational silos (partners are NOT gods). Create credible career paths for employees. Create market competitive compensation packages and develop far more compelling engagement initiatives for staff.
Pros
Good pay and perks, very powerful branding
Cons
Things are pretty unplanned and haphazard.. People are travelling most times, so you don't get to know people well...Lacks structured training
Advice to Senior Management
More dialog between counsellors/managers and counselees. People need to feel that they are a part of an organization and not alone
Pros
brand....brand....& one more....Brand!!
That's all.
Yeah one more u learn that u can live w/o ur family & friends . And its pretty normal :I
Cons
They pay u less 'coz u r now a part of the brand
they treat u like 'resorurces' 'coz u r now a part of the brand
& with slow promotions, the middle mgmt. is always frustrated
high attrition make it a very unsecure place 4 employees
employee referral schemes running round the year gifting LCDs, holiday packages, make it more like a mom&pop store.
Advice to Senior Management
@ least try to invest in people
Pros
Detailed, Systematic, Encouraging, Exploring, Vast
Cons
Work-Personal Life dis-balance, Exertion, Monotonous, Stressful, sometimes boring
Advice to Senior Management
