Pros
The people, the people, the people! I have the opportunity to work with dynamic, smart, funny, interesting people on a daily basis.
Cons
Work life balance is a struggle and you have to work very hard at it to make it work. Although there seems to be a shift and upper management focus on promoting better work life balance....will keep you posted.

Top Heavy Managment structure which provides little incentive if you are a super-star
Average Pay compared other opportunities
Big 4 Issues with compliance, stock ownership, etc.
Doing your own taxes at these places sucks due to working in different states
Advice to Senior Management
Find a way to make your teams more entrepreneurial while minimizing overhead. Find your super-stars and get them to the top quickly, because everyone else steals them.

Great place to start right out of college if not getting into high profile IBs or Consulting places.
Decent work life balance depending on individual situation.

The fun dies out after 1-2 years when pay comes in question.
Political system of performance reviews which is more often skewed.
Advice to Senior Management
Start people paying more for the hard hours worked and be innovative from other Big 4 in terms of employee satisfaction. Also, make CEO more approachable. Didn't even see the CEO once in two years there.

-Opportunity to work in a nearly infinite number of settings, types of engagements, etc.
-People care about your experiences and professional growth

-Review process is well thought-out, but consistency is rarely achieved across reviewers
-Majority of employees that I've worked with are ultra-competitive and work themselves way too hard

-Culture at the firm in certain practices and locations seems to make people work themselves too hard and ultimately, get burnt out

Many clients, many managers, different work environments.

Work life balance, poor. Too many clients, too many hours, focus on utulization and sales. Salary ok, not great.

Focus on work life balance. Pay properly.

good exposure to f&a issues with top clients. great brand recognition worldwide. very good health insurance, LTC, STC and life insurance benefits.

at the time the advisory practice lacked a well defined structure. driven to achieve high utilization numbers a consultant might get derailed from his career goals.

Good work / life balance. Great flexibility.. I was able to work from home 4/5 days. Wonderful employees, and lots of opportunities for development.
Cons
Way too much red tape, very beauracratic. Matrixed organization makes it difficult to exact any real change. Senior leaders talk a good game, but hesitate to share any valuable information in a timely manner.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the opportunities for development. Reduce the red tape and process-heavy culture, and focus on innovation more than having a policy in place for every idea that comes along.
