Lead Bilingual Customer Care Representative (Former Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsFriendships. Learning. Growth. Understanding Company. Flexible. Open Door Policy.
Good Benefits. Advancement Potential. Longevity in position. Approchable Upper Management. Fair

ConsRepetitive. Sometimes Not Communicated well with others. FLy By The Seat Of The Pants Style Management. Boring Sometimes. Not Structured.

Advice to Senior ManagementI thoguht everything at Eschelon as a whole was a great place to work and the trainign was good at the time. Integra now trashed the company.

    Decent wages, poor lower management.

Data Entry (Former Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsDecent starting wage. Actually paid well for simple data entry, decent clean workplace.

ConsPoor management, poor communication, no procedures, and poor training. Billing department is an idiosyncratic nightmare. Asking for clarification of procedure results in getting the cold shoulder - either you get it or you don't. Any changes to procedure generally happen about fifteen times a week, are communicated to only a few people, and aren't available for ready documentation. Meetings were long, boring sludge-fests which usually ended up focused on irrelevant things like potlucks instead of improving procedures. Very, very politically driven - be prepared to suck up if you want to get ahead.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook more towards developing lower and middle management, as well as putting more effort into training your employees.

    Was good while it lasted.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsCLECs are more flexible than working for an RBOC. Its been stable company and usually pays bonuses (for non sales/union staff). You can expect a yearly review with a modest (~3%) salary increase if you do a decent job.

ConsLack of a good future technology plan and very limited product set. A company that wants an exit sooner than investors probably originally thought.

Advice to Senior ManagementNone. Great execution on exit strategy since no real future looking technology plan.

    Positive synergetic work environment

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat training and support from local and remote management. Provided the tools to do the job and the support and autonomy to accomplish the needed job tasks. Also, a very open environment for constructive criticism and clearly defined steps to prepare for growth opportunities.

ConsThe only downside was the acquisition by Integra, which changed the entire outlook and direction of the company. It also removed the 'small company' feel and relationships that we had with fellow co-workers, segmenting everyone into clearly defined and separated departments.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployees valued their jobs and highly valued the leadership provided. Whatever you were doing was working - thank you for your shared leadership skills and career insight.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
