I have been working at Espírito Santo Investments

    Pros

I don't see any pros for a true professional at this time unless senior management makes some radical changes.

    Cons

lack of trust for anyone who is not Portuguese and as such, your ability to make a (much needed)change for the better is severely limited. Not a give and take environment. Not an environment that nurtures talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Coud be a great institution but you need stronger leaders / top management from outside Lisbon if you want to survive and you need to start taking decisions based on what's best for the company rather than what's best for promoting each individuals personal agenda for power and control.

I worked at Espírito Santo Investments

    Pros

The company takes a fairly lax attitude towards employees being able to reconcile family life with their personnal lives, as well as having a few benefits for families, such as subsidies and loans.

    Cons

The culture in the company remains very hierarchic, not allowing advancement from outsiders unless you are in the "clique" of the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe that the company should make an effort to adapt its culture to that of the places it has acquired, and not simply attempt to remould the existing culture to the one they are bringing
