very secure and future career killer.

Software Developer (Current Employee) Cairo (Egypt)

    Pros-Very secure
    -No layoff at all
-Some time hard working appreciated from few managment people not from the company it self.
    -Very friendly and flat environment.
-Very enjoyable working environment only if you work with good and friendly team.
------Advice------Working on it is greate if you want to work as government employee.
    -Good name in your C.V
----Advice------If you want to make money, work there for max 2 years and search for a job in the Gulf area.

Cons-No appreciation at all from the company to the hard workers.
    -No felxible hours any more.
-They spy and limit your internet connection and usage.
-Travel perdiem has been reduced to minimum limit.
    -No work/life balance at all.
-Very very very bad cafetiria, you have to bring your own food from out side.
-It looks like high level managers says (we will make a lot of changes to make you work more and we save more money).
    -Late pormotions.
-Very very late bounses, and some times there will be no bonuse at all :).
-Very limited raises, some years there will be no raises at all.
-------Advice----If you want to build a successful career in big IT companies. ESRI NeA is not one of them and will not lead you to any of them unless you build your experince by your own.
-HR not bad and not good, you will not feel that they exist. unless some one get married or some one's siblings dead, you will get an e mail form the HR.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour workforce is very unmotivated and the best people are looking for jobs elsewhere. You can't continue to grow and make money if you only keep the bad people and drive away the good people.
Stop taking away the (Black Olive).
You are making ESRI name very bad in the IT companies and IT workers across all the Region (Arabian - African - Gulf). but actually you are not presenting ESRI you are presenting Alkan.
