I worked at Esurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a great environment to work at supervisors are very helpful and try to make their employees realistically happy! Training was great and motivational everyone was very helpful! Pay is descent compared to most jobs lots of incentive and bonus opportunities and you get raises based off of your overall performance every yr. They always have new positions available to make more money! So your not stuck in one position too long you can move up not too long after graduation. Also they offer work at home opportunities to those who earn the privilege!

    Cons

I don't have any personal cons except that it's a very repetitive job i mean it is a call center so all you do is take repetitive inbound calls back to back! You do the same thing all day for 8 hrs sitting in your cubical with not much interaction with others you only get a 30 min lunch and two 15 min breaks if u need a break in between you mess up your adherence potentially messing up your overall performance. It's like any call center I'm sure so if your ok with staying in one spot for 8 hrs a day with little to no movement/interaction and repetitive back to back calls this is the job for you! I liked it for a while it was exciting and a challenge at first but after a yr and a half of learning the job it just became boring/repetitious for me! Definitely not something I could do for long term.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! Maybe find more ways to get your employees off the phones for breathers I remember when I worked there any off the phone time was the highlight of my day!!!!

I have been working at Esurance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some friendly faces and people trying to improve the brand and products. Many take their job seriously and believe in the company and want a good place to work.

    Cons

Low morale, high turn over rate, people are learning there is low customer satisfaction and that has created some negativity in the company. There is no singular brand vision that has successfully resonated with consumer. For an internet company it has very poor quality technology for the employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop emphasizing the company is a low cost operator. Create a higher morale by showing you care about individual employees. Stop emphasizing the shrinking budget, it is scaring employees.

I have been working at Esurance full-time

    Pros

Great people, team work we all work very well together.

    Cons

    It is a numbers game.

    Advice to Management

Take note of employees who really care and are doing the job correctly. Not paying claims just to make the numbers look good. Numbers may look good on paper but it will not help retain an insured.

I worked at Esurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people I worked with were great people. Fun atmosphere. For the most part pretty good training. Insurance from day one was pretty nice.

    Cons

Call center environment so it can be non stop speaking 8 hours a day. It can be draining and exhausting when the other person on the line is making a quote more difficult than it needed to be. Not much room for advancement unless someone quits or moves to another Esurance location.

    Advice to Management

Better shifts, and better commission plans.

I have been working at Esurance full-time

    Pros

Really cool people, AC, good location. Del Taco?

    Cons

This place is toxic. Management doesn't believe in its reps. They make huge promises they can't keep. Pay structure is terrible. You'll be lucky to make 40,000 a year although they promise you 75 in the interview. High turnover of reps and they do nothing to keep top performers happy. They stopped marketing so leads are worse than you can image. They wonder why people have bad habits? Because you don't get paid if you follow rules. If you live in Phoenix, you have better options! Run away.

    Advice to Management

You don't take advice so why give advice?

    Pros

A lot of the people are nice.

    Cons

Poor, inexperienced management. Pay is terrible. Employees who do the right thing by the company and customer are compensated the least. The company has no interest in keeping good, quality agents. Esurance top agents are those who work the system and flat out lie to customers and unfortunately everyone who works there is well aware of it. They lie to you about what the scheduling requirements will be. You will be forced to work weekends and nights.

    Advice to Management

Start focusing on keeping agents instead of spending a ton of money on constantly training new people because of the high turnover.
