    Pros

Benefits are great comparatively and the company in general has a great open work environment with a positive vibe.

    Cons

Micro-management politics on the team level felt very much like kindergarten. There was always more of a focus on mistakes made rather than the overwhelming amount of good work done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The senior manager allowed the focus to shift away from proper development and training to a highly micro-managed environment despite the efforts of the team to always meet and exceed expectations. The merit increase I received, which I later learned was not unlike increases received by everyone, was not nearly what I or the team deserved nor did it meet a reasonable amount compared to rising living costs.

    Pros

The office in which i worked was amazing, the claims mgmt team was more than what I could ask for. Fair end of the year reviews, you will always know what you need help. Mgmt staff really works with you in ref to moving up.

    Cons

Inability to transfer from location to location, even though remote access is available. Theres positions which they make national positions, with remote management but not all positions are the same even if they are not trivial positions, but yet they do expect to work from home at times to keep with volume.

    Pros

They have great benefits and perks. The OT incentives are awesome. Opportunities to grow within the company. The environment is great. I've worked for other contact centers in the past and Esurance is by far the best. Management is very helpful and knowledgeable. I love working here.

    Cons

Aside from the background check process, haven't had any negative experiences.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep it up!

    Pros

It was a job that paid the bills. That's all, nothing more nothing less. Management is a joke, especially upper management.

    Cons

No work/life balance...to management your life is work.
Pay...HA, what a joke. The "bonuses" were cut by more than half after Allstate bought the company in 2011 and then we were constantly lied to that we were making the same as before.
No career advancement opportunities, unless you were kissing someones butt and those that did get promoted were very unqualified.
Claim to be family friendly, but again another lie.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

These are people who are doing the sales and making this company money, try to remember that. There is a great lack of morale on the sales floor and nothing on the horizon shows that it will change. I would never work for this company again.

    Pros

Great coworkers, always willing to collaborate and get the job done. Intelligent people, very approachable and willing to finish challenging projects no matter what. Benefits and vacation time are decent for the Bay Area company.

    Cons

Work from home policies can be a little more flexible (currently up to one day per week). As the company is growing some things tend to take more time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good job.

    Pros

    Cons

Very difficult to move up from a basic position.

    Pros

Great location in SF financial district and free refreshments available at SF office.

    Cons

There is no chance for growth unless you are a suck-up or bootlicker.
Low pay, expectation to work 24/7. Low employee morale and productivity as all sticking out until the immigration clears.
Managers keen in the fat paycheck/huge bonus and overworking the teams. Managers don't take no as an answer from subordinates and will never say no to their seniors. Most managers are long tenured employees promoted within with outdated skills.
Senior management repeatedly fails to understand how software development works, there is only focus on how the end result will be bug free.
Highly political environment. No effort to get it done right. Plenty finger pointing. No clear accountability.
No good decision taken by Senior management to fix or understand any issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people in IT development who understand software development fundamentals. Hire managers that care about the product/people and company and not just paychecks.
