I have been working at Esurance full-time

    Pros

Great location, decent benefits, good PTO accrual and lots of promotional opportunities due to the various departments in this location. They bring in lunch for the entire office every quarter. Great culture and community involvement.

    Cons

short staffed ... specifically in Claims

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate staffing model to accommodate the workload

    Pros

Really cool people, AC, good location. Del Taco?

    Cons

This place is toxic. Management doesn't believe in its reps. They make huge promises they can't keep. Pay structure is terrible. You'll be lucky to make 40,000 a year although they promise you 75 in the interview. High turnover of reps and they do nothing to keep top performers happy. They stopped marketing so leads are worse than you can image. They wonder why people have bad habits? Because you don't get paid if you follow rules. If you live in Phoenix, you have better options! Run away.

    Advice to Management

You don't take advice so why give advice?

I worked at Esurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    nice employees and nice building

    Cons

That licensing test is very difficult. Management preaches that they will get you to pass but how and when? The way they use to do it was have the employees go through the 9 weeks of training then the licensing exam but now you have to complete the licensing 2 weeks into starting. A lot of employees told me they use to have someone help them with the exam so they could pass but not now. You WILL have to go through all of these Modules by yourself. The modules are very misleading and confusing. Others might have another view, but for the other people it may not be for you. The pay is great but it's not worth constantly taking that exam and being discouraged each time you fail. Plus, the reason i left is because i would of had to pay $100 to retake the exam each time until i pass. That isn't fair especially when there is very little help on the modules. The whole start of this process is stressful as heck. I warn others trying to work here, just double check and make sure you don't mind the heavy stress.

    Advice to Management

Don't consistently try to perk up the new employees about passing the exam. You gotta be around to help. Just cannot expect them to Instant message you or email you when they have a question. someone should be there. A lot of people feel discouraged about that licensing and honestly its not worth the stress to us.

    Pros

Excellent, thorough training. Will learn the sales cycle from start to finish. Management is more than willing to help with personal development.

    Cons

Commission structure is constantly changing. You will ultimately feel as though you cant go up the proverbial ladder without taking a significant pay cut.

    Advice to Management

Keep learning. Always be open and willing to take advice from everyone on the totem pole.

    Pros

A lot of the people are nice.

    Cons

Poor, inexperienced management. Pay is terrible. Employees who do the right thing by the company and customer are compensated the least. The company has no interest in keeping good, quality agents. Esurance top agents are those who work the system and flat out lie to customers and unfortunately everyone who works there is well aware of it. They lie to you about what the scheduling requirements will be. You will be forced to work weekends and nights.

    Advice to Management

Start focusing on keeping agents instead of spending a ton of money on constantly training new people because of the high turnover.

The people were cool, may be a good place for people starting in the work force just don't plan on making any money

    Cons

The pay scale is not what they say it is and is a very boring place to work. The people you have to deal with that call will make you hate everything if you have an option for other work take the other work you will be happier
