    Pros

Good salary and very good benefits. Teams are well overstaffed for the amount of work, so time off and leave are easy to get.

    Cons

Not everyone will get a bonus, not all HR policy's apply to all employees. There is a an exception for everything for certain employees and that is true throughout the whole company. Performance evaluation system is unrealistic and end of year evaluations will just be decided on managers mind set.

    Advice to Management

Hire more qualified people and have all HR policy's adhered to by everyone.

    Pros

International experience Exposure to different cultures Working in the aviation industry Decent benefits - medical, 401k and travel (although travel benefits are not as good as most US and European carriers)

    Cons

Extremely superficial company that practices age discrimination on a regular basis - a directive that comes from the CEO. Candidates are assessed on age, weight and ethnicity before experience and skills. Does not respect US labor laws.

    Pros

Good salary for a start, amazing location.

    Cons

No rules, no barriers, no trainings, chaos. Rude colleagues, no help from management. Unfriendly environment. Blames on employees for things they never do. Punishments usual. Hate ambitious applicants.

    Advice to Management

Don't push your own frustration on your employers.

    Pros

Cheap flights, iSave card, good colleagues at M1 level and below

    Cons

There is no morality at higher management levels, no HR confidentiality, process or employee care. The Etihad Code of Business Conduct doesn't exist- don't let it fool you. It's a tick in a box but it's a sham. HR is only in existence to protect M2's and above. You are treated as a commodity and worked very, very hard-up to 12 hours a day. Prepare to be given a different job to the one you were hired for and for your offices to spontaneously combust as they are off the charts with regards to safety (Masdar City portakabins). Employees are not treated with respect, dignity or consideration and contracts are not honoured. Rather, HR will refer to UAE law, which provides you no buffer or protection at all should you be fired, especially if you're within probation. Etihad will take everything from you especially your work life balance and pay you as little as possible. The employee review system is unfair, with certain 'locals' being given the rating they ask for. Everyone else has to be spread across the 'curve'. 'Locals' are not pushed to do any work, don't usually come in at working hours (a few good ones do) and get paid triple that of Westerners. The 'management scheme' for grads is ludicrous! There are frequently shouting matches behind closed doors and bullying is a way of life at Etihad. And as you might expect, men are the majority of the management. Demands change on a daily basis, are usually unrealistic and makes for a highly stressful working environment. There is no process for anything and you may well run around in circles most of the time. Oh and by the way, when you hit 60, you'll be 'retired' and asked to leave! There is allot of unrealistic pressure from Director level to achieve unrealistic sales targets leading to spamming all 'Guests' /customers, there are constant 'sales' week after week that annoy Customers and even take over the Abu Dhabi's radio channels with that awful haunting melody they call 'Flying Reimagined', which is a confusion at best and at the worst a way of haemorrhaging profit ( E.g. The Residence) which enjoys less than 10% capacity. This is actually the worst company you could ever work for across the globe; and is as backward, racist, ageist, sexist and politically incorrect as you can get. There is a high turnover in this company in all departments so that speaks for itself.

    Advice to Management

Stop employing friends and family and actually hire people who are good at what they do. Establish processes that actually stick and work and champion proper working practices to help employees find a work life balance. Stop turning a blind eye to obviously very wrong working practices, hiring and firing. Practice what you preach as the 'business code of conduct'. Stop bullying and intimidating- yes we are expats and you manage our visas and we're at your mercy but you're doing yourselves no favours with employee motivation and you're preventing your staff from enjoying work and caring as they should do. Start getting it right soon because the majority of the workforce is in despair. Alternatively, resign all levels down to M1 and start again!
