I have been working at Etihad Airways as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

It is UAE National carrier and its crew and staff most competent and good service provider compare to other carrier.
and its fleet and flight schedule is accurate as per international flight schedule and its Fare compare to other airlines very competitive as compare to travel market, we can promote to its long whole sectors in travel market and corporate sector to increase more business and add more profitable share for Etihad airways.

    Cons

I can full filled the airlines target as per company policy and achieve through our professional skill.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If Etihad airways introduce Stopover at Abudhabi with 96 hours UAE Visa only for frequent flyer member and also that passenger who is travel to long whole sector like USA & Canada, so Ethihad airways captured maximum business from the market and could be increase its market share.

I worked at Etihad Airways full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very good salary package and benefits above a certain grade
A good airline with the potential to be truly great
Abu Dhabi is a wonderful place to live and work in

    Cons

    "Management by fear" culture
Weak Middle Management, ground reality not communicated accurately to Senior Management
Big difference in salary/benefits between certain grades, although there isn't much of a difference in the job profile and responsibilities. Difference must be gradual and consistent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Move around, observe first-hand, and get feedback directly from junior employees instead of relying only on inputs from Middle Management. This will be a huge eye-opener.
It is fine to have Etihad Values, but you need to Walk the Talk for these values to have any real meaning.

I worked at Etihad Airways as an intern

    Pros

Everyone made sure that we learn everything we can and showed how great the company is.
Supervisors let us know how the company operates and made sure we here clearly hear what happens every flight briefing.
I was very much encouraged to pursue a career with Etihad as a direct employee.

    Cons

Please make sure to give more incentives for those employees the company gets from manpower agencies. They are the ones who worked the most, ensuring guests are comfortable, yet they are not that properly compensated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure even the ground handling agents are properly compensated. Ive seen how so many GREAT agents resign because of "too much work but not enough pay". I would've like to work for Etihad as a GHA, but It willl be a very stressful and depressing job if I feel im worth close to nothing.
