    Pros

Nice People, decent location, getting better

    Cons

Mandatory Overtime, Frequently Changing Schedules, No life-work balance, Low pay-scale, and Overqualified hiring. You'll want to leave within a short time of coming here.

    Advice to Management

Pick a schedule and stick to it, pay your employees what they are worth and hire enough people so overtime isn't a problem.

    Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule, great co-workers, interesting work, generous PTO, job stability

    Cons

The company has been progressively going downhill. Forced overtime but then expecting employees to "lose" the hours by leaving early or coming in late on another day if they are hourly, Forced PTO, no benefit to being salaried vs. hourly anymore (at least for the worker), horrible pay, almost non-existent raises. Favoritism plays a major role in promotions and how people are dealt with. Apathy in some management, lack of knowledge in other management. The company takes advantage of the good workers but does nothing to fairly compensate them for going above and beyond while letting the slackers just slide by while reaping the same benefits (+ or - .025% in their raise which is negligible when the raises average 2%).
The company used to be about quality. Quality of the data, quality of the work environment, quality of the people. Now it is all about money! We used to get yearly surveys asking for feedback - haven't seen one of those in years! Guess they know the results won't be even close to what they used to be.
IT - the system is so outdated and inflexible. And since Eurofins took over it has gotten worse! We are putting more resources into rolling out our LIMs to the sister companies than we are in getting it to work efficiently for us.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the little people - they are the ones doing the job every day.
Pay better and provide at least cost of living increases. It is sad when people go in to the meeting for their raise and say here comes my quarter - and they aren't that far off.
Invest in IT. People can't get more efficient if the computer system doesn't work well or at all in some cases.
Go back to the salaried benefits before ThermoFisher. No one wants to be salaried anymore since they don't get the unlimited sick time, weather days etc. Basically we are the same as hourly except we don't get overtime. Not a big motivator at all.
Morale is the worst that I have ever seen it. For years people loved working for LLI but now I can't think of anyone who does. It is a job to them now and that is sad.

    Pros

    Good benefits
A job for students fresh out of college with no prior work experience
Co-workers (not management) are awesome and work together as a family unit

    Cons

    Low pay
Poor management (a lot of self managing)
Little work/life balance (they believe less employees=more money in there pockets so they stretch you to the max)
And don't get pregnant because management will watch you and fire you

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, especially with the amount of trash talking management does about them behind their backs

Also, management does not care about employees. You are expendable to them and they talk bad about you behind your back. It's an abusive workplace yet they don't financially compensate you to endure it.

    Pros

Free food! Flexible hours. It's a good place to get experience and get out.

    Cons

Salary is roughly two thirds of the typical salary for these positions. Low level management positions available but these positions are generally incredibly stressful and poor workload distribution makes these positions vacant and passed over by current and eligible employees.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to make sure current employees are satisfied before they try to continue their expansion.
