Horrible place to work

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Evans Analytical Group full-time

ProsFellow employees are fine. Management are the problem. Employees and management are very knowledgeable in their field.

ConsCRO lab. Management regard employees as peons and have instituted a company culture more akin to a correctional facility than a team environment. Some groups within the company are better then others. One of the directors is notorious, never loses an opportunity to vent frustration, has a very poor or possibly absent sense of personal boundaries, lacks respect for fellow human beings and is to be avoided. Beware.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot much to say. They have been doing it a long tome and must be hard for them to change. Also they are successful with this punitive model.

Consno formal training. sometimes have to work overtime. problems with tools don't get addressed until they need major repairs which can take weeks to complete. hardly any career advancement opportunities.

100% Focus on Making The Company Good to Sell It

Can't Say Due to Anonymity/City Altered Also (Current Employee)
Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at Evans Analytical Group full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGood people and good personal working conditions between lower level employees.

ConsUpper Management is focused on strange things that seem suspicious. There does not seem to be any intelligent focus on growing the company, or any good vision of who the company wants to be. There was a focus on buying businesses, but not a good core strategy. It appears upper management is totally focused on playing up to the investment group that owns much of the company, and not on the company itself. It is if they are trying to the exclusion of all els, to make the company a good "property" for some other investor to buy. A modern warmed over version of corporate raiders. Haven't gotten a raise in five years.

Advice to Senior ManagementManage the company. Care about the employees, treat them as your most important commodity. Figure out what you want to do and how/where you want to grow in business, and invest in it.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Run, don't walk!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Evans Analytical Group full-time for more than a year

ProsIt is a job if you need a job. Some bright people working here, but they are all worker bees. Could be a good place to work if sold to a larger company. The customer base is substantial.

ConsThe company is growing to pump up profits, but not for long-term viability.

management doesn't care about employee's career advancement

Scientist (Current Employee)

I have been working at Evans Analytical Group

Prosflexible schedule, job is kind of stable. bay area is a good place to live. easy access to beach and mountain.

Cons9-10 hours working. no care about employee's career advancement. no formal training. manager push too much. they only care about how much you can make for company.

Advice to Senior Managementpay reasonable salary for employee. adjust employee's work and life balance.

Too many reasons for EAG to hurt your salary and staff.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Evans Analytical Group

ProsGood people to work with. No signs of any discrimination. OK benefits. and that pretty much somes it all up.

ConsUpper management. If you are not bringing the most revenue for the company then good luck getting your voice heard. Even then, I wonder...

Advice to Senior ManagementThe company focus should be on making every department profitable. I don't believe we are helping the company by cutting staff across the board when one group is failing. Profitable groups should if anything be invested into. I understand the thought process of being a team player but I do not understand holding good players back.
