I worked at Everest College part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I taught the night class. It was a great experience for me. I loved the students, colleagues, and my immediate supervisors. The curriculum was good and we were provided with all the necessary tools and materials to do our jobs.

    Cons

There seem to be a lot of politics in the senior management. I saw a lot of admissions people under tremendous pressure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. Seeing as the company is selling off the Everest entities.

I worked at Everest College full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Helping studens change their lives.

    Cons

Dealing with cronyism and inept management that had no education background.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is not car sales or retail sales it is education. Once you realize that, thats when integrity shines through. Well it is too late now since the school will be non existent in about 6 months.

    Pros

It felt like working with Family. I enjoyed the team work. I was able to meet managers at other campuses by helping out.

    Cons

No opportunity for growth. Learn the roles of directors but no opportunity to move forward. Many of false promises but no execution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop employees to move in a management role.

I worked at Everest College full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

..... There aren't very many pros to this job. The only one that I can think of is that you will have some pretty interesting ways to overcome objections on the phone, and you will have experience working with individuals 1 on 1.

    Cons

Everything that you could possibly think of that you would not want in a career. No opportunities for growth and advancement. No Pay raise, no consistent schedule, unqualified directors, a business who strive on dishonesty and terrible integrity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have a heart.

    Pros

My co-workers (some) were excellent. I miss them a lot.

    Cons

Everything about that organization. I would not recommend to work there if you want growth. They are not providing to the students what they claim to do in their mission statement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring sales people with no education that came from best buy as a sales rep.

    Pros

Good pay structure and that is it.

    Cons

A lot of training but none of it relates to your position. You are thrown to the wolves and have to figure it out for yourself and quickly or you are fired. Regional, divisional, and corporate management talk like they know education, they do not. They are out for the money and do not care one bit for the students. It is all about look at me I am doing this great job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire all of them, including half of your campus presidents. If you do not know by now the Regionals tell the campus presidents do this even if it is not compliant. Then the lower management are told to do it. When they get caught, the lower manager get fired because he is told to do something that later was not legal or in compliance. This company sucks.
