I worked at Evergreen International Aviation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

New and young employees are given great opportunities in challenging projects, providing tremendous experience a knowledge. The field staff worked hard and have a tremendous sense of camaraderie. Supporting important missions for the US Government.

    Cons

Terrible leadership and lack of management accountability. The blame game was common and many of the contracts were never fulfilled or given the resources they needed to be successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand your business and your customer. Listen to your employees and take some ownership in both the good and the bad.

I worked at Evergreen International Aviation full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of the employees were good people

    Cons

Tyrannical CEO Delford Smith. Almost Psychotic with the expectations an demands he would yell (or have his #2 cronie yell). Would humiliate and abuse employees that didn't do the impossible for him. Personally saw 2 people die in my short time there from obvious job stress and abuse (one had a coronary, the other committed suicide). He is an "old school" "Mad men" type of relic living in the past (requires ties and suits, doesn't use a computer, gives preference to the pretty ladies, etc.) His bizarre business antics like spending to have those ridiculous museums built, and running up HUGE debts this poor company could never repay have driven the company into the ground. I believe that when he dies there will be MANY McMinnville residents dancing on his grave. He was ruthless, cold, hated people, and above all was GREEDY and materialistic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company is beyond help and has claimed bankruptcy because of it.
