    Pros

When I started this hospital lab was well run and efficient with little drama. People like EvergreenHospital for the most part. As a larger hospital it takes care of it's employees well. Good benefits, holiday meals and free parking

    Cons

Understaffed, union shop so hard to get rid of bad employees. No sense of teamwork in the lab. Inpatient vs outpatient. Day shift vs night shift. Client services vs the lab vs microbiologist.

    Advice to Management

Consult the people who actually do the day to day work before implementing changes. Learn the jobs in each part of the lab. When multiple people complain about something or someone it is usually true.

    Pros

They have very little PROS to speak on. It is a job and they handle expense reports very well.

    Cons

    Not people focused at all.

    Advice to Management

    More consultant focus.

    Pros

No politics. Very open management style. Truly a team. Everything revolves around delivering quality solutions to client problems. Straighforward in how they deal with clients and employees. Results driven -- with clients and employees. Show your ROI as an employee and you will be here a long time...and be very happy here. Don't be confused by reviews for other companies named Evergreen.

    Cons

Small company -- just starting to implement formal management training programs; benefits are good but might not be as good as offerings at large corporation.

    Pros

Smart, hardworking people who are very focused on doing the best possible job for the customer. Evergreen doesn't just do X, Y or Z - Evergreen works with the customer to determine the right solution for them, based on their unique requirements. Evergreen isn't just a "body shop", it's a valuable partner.

    Cons

Strategically, Evergreen is a little lost. The executive team isn't sure where Evergreen fits in the world, or what it will be "when it grows up". Strategies come and go, there's little perseverance. And as of late, it appears to be turning into another Accenture with all the ex-Accenture people who have been hired.

    Advice to Management

Don't become a mini-Accenture. One of the most valuable traits of Evergreen has been its relatively low turnover, but I foresee that changing if the new influences are allowed to have their way. Make sure you understand what you're signing up for.
