ProsVery meritocratic - if you deliver you go up the ladder,
Great work atmosphere as almost everyone is pushing in same direction and want the company to succeed
Outstanding quality of people on average

ConsIT culture/systems are weak although improving
Smaller firm - sometime hard to compete against bigger competitors despite product/people on par with best on the street

Advice to Senior ManagementCarry on - but do not forget branding

    Great company

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsBoth members of the team I was working with on deals and the support staff were great to work with. Amazing office locations in different cities.

ConsLong hours, pay was slightly below industry average for the level of my work, some lack of communication between departments.

Demanding, but a lot of learning and a nice team

    Equity Research Analyst (Current Employee)
    Paris (France)

Prosgood understanding of the sector, get deeply involved on writing reports shortly, closely follow the markets, warm team, good instruction, lots of work on bloomberg, data stream, and excel. you will soon become a master on them.

Consnot too much understanding of a specific company so far. sometimes have to work overtime until 9 or 10, the pay is really low

Lack of professional opportunities in a company that has a good potential.

    Database Manager (Current Employee)
    Paris (France)

ProsInternational team and good spirited colleagues is a very good point in this company.

ConsThere's a strong feeling that power and opportunities are locked by a happy few (senior managers and partners). Internal promotions are rare and do not really depend on performances. The same goes for financial or recognition. Initiatives and inventivity are discouraged.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagers should take a step back and encourage initiatives from their team. They should probably be more "team-spirited" and less individualistic.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
