Current Employee - Escort in Greensburg, PA

    Pros

You work with great people (for the most part), you are compensated well for your work (in my experience) and management fully delegates and empowers the workers. Good benefits.

    Cons

It is very easy to be pigeon-holed into a position. The corporate group is relatively small at this point and therefore opportunities for advancement are limited.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open up the company to corporate internships and allow employees to seek business/corporate degrees and be able to move up through the company.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, training, salary and benefits

    Cons

Concerns about my current position being eliminated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognitiion when employees are doing a good job would create an even more positive atmosphere. Employees need to hear when they are doing a good job, as well as when there may have been mistakes made.

    Pros

PTO. Good family oriented community. Good physicians. Nice location. FREE parking.

    Cons

Understaffing is a chronic problem. Mixed messages from upper echelon management and ridiculous redundancies as we transition to a paperless system. Hopefully will be improving over the next 2 years as Cerner is implemented.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start thinking outside the box.
Try a little harder to keep your staff happy. Happy nurses work harder and better.

Sometimes there was a lull in the amount of work, but other than that I can say it was a great experience.
