    Pros

There are lots of opportunities for growth, especially if you are motivated.

    Cons

Too many layers of management, especially middle management which causes a lack of clarity of guidelines.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the middle man and streamline rules and processes among all branches.

    Pros

Great coworkers in-branch who truly care about providing exceptional customer service. Amazing community reputation and relationship. Customers truly feel like they are part of our family. oh, and supporting the Doyle Scholarship! The new CEO seems to understand the banks shortcomings and seems to sincerely want to change the culture in leadership and the back office.

    Cons

No central source of information. Often long-term employees in back office and management act as gatekeepers of certain information & task. This makes it difficult for branch staff to obtain the right answers for customers the first time and to set service expectations. The outdated technology/tools at our disposal make even simple task labor-intensive and prone to errors. The branches are full of hard workers, but they can be demotivated by changes implemented by the back-office with no regard to how it affects staff and customers. It also takes forever to fill empty positions.

    Advice to Management

Centralize information - create a centralized manual to empower branch employees to better serve customers. Invest in technology to enrich the experience of our customers and employees. Create channels of communication between senior leadership, branches, and back office so that we can all be on the same page. To sum it up: invest in the customer AND employee experience before you lose the support of the dedicated branch staff.

    Pros

People you work with on a daily basis and the Doyle Legacy.Location of the branches you can work.

    Cons

Upper management, as evidenced by their recent losses. Their ineptness in management of employees and polices toward women. ( you have to be good looking to get ahead)

    Advice to Management

If you tell your employees you make the bank the "Best" pay them the Best!!
With the recent departure the bank should return to its former greatness.

    Pros

None for lower management level personnel.

    Cons

When upper management can never be accountable for bad decisions,(not even to minor stock holders) there is something ethically wrong with the leadership.

    Advice to Management

Take responsibility, and stop looking for fall guys.
(Hard to do when you know you can never be fired)

    Pros

Very nice place to work. Management is very helpul and easy to approach. Even though Exchange bank is goint through a diffcult time right now it still works with the community and gives back to the community. Exchange Bank is a very good place to work and balance your time with family and work.. You work 40 hours a week sometimes more but only if you choose to work more otherwise you are not expected to work more than that..

    Cons

Itis not very easy to move up the ladder, but if you try hard you might go up some places.

    Advice to Management

Semior management is doing a good job right now.

    Pros

No sales pressure, barely any goals at all actually. Tellers are only required to get TWO sales a month! Set weekly schedules, although there's opportunity to take an extra day if a branch needs someone short notice. Decent starting pay for a teller position. Mostly friendly atmosphere between employees, although they can be a lot more serious than the bigger banks. Just a whole different atmosphere

    Cons

Technology is quite inadequate for employees, it eats of a lot of time trying to make it work correctly or making up for pressing a wrong button. Vacation time can be hard to schedule if you are a newer employee as most other employees have been there for a couple decades, so no way you're getting any seniority. Slight lack of motivation with bankers since sales goals are low....oh, and there's basically ZERO compensation/bonus plan. Also, they use a ton of paper since they are not up with technology and lots of simple banking tasks have to be completed manually with a pen.

    Advice to Management

Think up some kind of incentive plan if you are looking for ways to bring the bank more customers and expand the number of products current customers hold. It can help with motivation.
