Cons – The company faces market pressures of declining margins and commoditization of the mass-market cruise product, as well as aggressive direct marketing by the cruise lines. In-house CRM has improved but can still use some innovation.
Advice to Senior Management – With many recruited from Princess Cruises, The Senior Management team has connections with EVPs from all the major cruise lines. These exclusive connections have resulted in preferable commission rates, exclusive promotions, and added value to the company's customers. They could still leverage more of the parent company's technology and resources into the firm.
