Pros
Fun, young work environment
Work hard Play hard company
Great Team and Co-workers
Good Pay
Cons
Long Hours
Put in the time you will be rewarded
Pros
- Great people (everyone is young, looking to have a good time)
- Investment in sales training
Cons
You will get fired if you do not meet your monthly quotas, regardless of tenure. Church and burn sales. Highly mircomanaged with managers breathing down your back all the time. Everything down to the number of dials you make is tracked.
Advice to Senior Management
The churn and burn culture has to go. You wonder why QAS has such a terrible retention rate? When you walk onto the sales floor, everyone looks stressed. Instead of a monthly target, have quarterly expectations.
Pros
Good Sales Training
Receptive Senior management
Cool people
Cons
Some of the managers are downright idiots.
Product- a lot of competitors offer comparable cheaper solutions.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management needs to do a better job of managing middle management
Pros
Great benefits, especially vacation time. Growth company. Opportunity to take on responsibility.
Cons
Intense all the time, you have to like pursuit of results.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue focus on people development.
Pros
- Encouraged to share new ideas. Sr. Management often tries to ensure you are part of the solution ideation rather than simply hand down tasks.
- High growth company with incredible opportunity to bring that to the next level in the years ahead
- Lots of small soft benefits that all add up to making it an enjoyable environment
- The employees at QAS are passionate at finding solutions to problems by all coming together. A great team enivronment exists.
Cons
- Some hints of culture perhaps being lost as QAS matures but it seems leadership tries hard to minimize that.
- Think Sr. Management could do a better job of letting the layer below them manage without heavy restrictions. Seems they are trying to change that but still a long way to go.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue doing what you are doing. Continue listening to employees and taking action and continue the collaborative style of the culture that exists.
Pros
QAS is full of young, fun, and driven people. If you are looking for a place to really cut your teeth in complex solution sales, this is a great place to learn. The job is extremely demanding and not everyone makes it, but for the people that do, there is a lot of opportunity for advancement, development, and very high earnings. The company also has a flat management structure, so it is easy to build relationships with senior executives across different departments. This is a great environment for high performers that want to make a mark somewhere. The sales force is relatively small (40 people), so talented people are recognized and stand out quickly.
Cons
This is a very demanding role, and the company has high expectations. The sale is complex and requires a mix of high activity and strategic selling. Almost everyone seems to be in over their head in the beginning, and you need to be up for a challenge to make this job work. The induction and ongoing training are very good, but the learning curve is fairly steep.
Pros
great business exposure to multiple industries and contact levels. Great opportunity for personal development. QAS provides a lot of training and workshops, and is vested in its peoples success.
very nice offices in downtown Boston. Opportunity to meet with CxO level executives early in career.
Cons
High pressure environment - always striving for performance. workload is about 50 hours per week
relatively high turnover of staff.
Pros
-Culture - work hard, play hard, GET REWARDED
-Flat mgt structure - Easy to walk into VP or CO's office for a chat
-Earnings potential - I earned six figures my first year in sales
-Experience - QAS gave me the opprotunity to work enterprise level, solution based sales opportunities
Most of the reviews on this site come from people who could not make the transition to a solution based sale. If you are looking for a transactional-based sale with short sale cycles this is not for you, stick with copiers/payrol/etc. However, if you prefer to act as a consultant and work with C level execs to solve their business needs then you may want to apply at QAS.
Cons
High expectations - this is not a company for people seeking a 35 hour work week. The entire culture is built on having successful, driven employees looking to dvelopment their sales skills and earnings potential
Pros
If you are looking for a place that will challange you to bring your best every day, invest in your development and both demand and reward high perfomrance, then this is your place. This is a sales driven culture, that focuses its bounty of resouces on aquiring new business. From marketing dollars and process to training structure and expertise, you will be given the tools to succeed.
Cons
High demand and oversight to performance and attention to detail on performance metrics. A lot resposibility to manage multiple facets of job.
Pros
I have worked for QAS for over 5 years, I started as an SDA (Sales Development Associate) in the Boston office working on lead qualification. This job is one of the entry level sales jobs at QAS that provides you with a clear track into Direct Sales. Since joining QAS I have been promoted 5 times, relocated to San Francisco from Boston, and have attended sales incentives in places like Cabo and Iceland. This company has turned me into a top tier sales professional with the amount of training and opportunity working with Fortune 100-500 companies. The company culture is great and promotes hiring young, inteligent, motivated individuals that are looking to excel in sales and be compensated appropriately.
Cons
The QAS sales role will challenge you as a sales professional to take yourself outside of just a commodity sale and more focused on a true solution sales job. There is nothing more gratifying then bringing an idea to a company that they have never heard of and then having them give you their business. There is a steep learning curve to develop the appropriate skills but if you truly want to be successful in sales then this is the company for you.
Advice to Senior Management
The leadership team at QAS is very focused on being transparent with the employees in terms of the strategic direction of the business, performance of the business, and providing an open door policy where anyone can walk into the General Manager's office and ask questions or make suggestions. In addition they have created a PULSE committee comprised of employees to listen to ideas about how we can make the workplace more enjoyable for everyone. The leadership team takes these suggestions very seriously and acts on them.
