    I worked at Experient full-time

    Pros

I worked at Experient for about five years and had an overall positive experience. The company is certainly a leader in the conference and event industry. I found the company culture to be very respectful and they have good procedures and tools in place to make the work consistent across project teams. Additionally employees were social and often gathered outside the office socially.

    Cons

Some of the downsides I found to be a lack of automated reporting and accounting functions which caused frequent requests for manual updates and reporting on which the criteria changed. Additionally, there is not a sharp focus on the specifics of profitability at the project level and while I strived to address this issue it was not possible without the cooperation of other departments who did not comply.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe that due to the past business conditions in the the company did not need to operate on a lean basis due to rather high margins, but given the changes that are underway (commission yielding to fee structure or revenue share) I feel that Experient will be well served to look closely at each project for profitability.
