    I worked at Experis

    Pros

They have relationships with many companies. There is good communication with the staff. The middle management area is friendly with the consultants. They do a great job of checking on the employees view of the their assignment.

    Cons

The Business Development area that monitors the consultant's experience at the client site was found to be insincere and only concerned about the client.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a sincere effort to improve the balance of care and concern between the client and consultant. A failure to do so will only cause more intelligent consultants to leave.

I have been working at Experis as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

They have kept me busy as an independent contractor and the rates they pay are top of the range.

    Cons

Like all of these companies, very few "employees" most people are independent contractors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work

    I worked at Experis

    Pros

Good company, good reputation and plays by the rules. Sister companies help complement offerings to larger clients. Large Global reach and some capable Solutions offerings.

    Cons

Constant Management changes locally. Push for Solutions sales, but some of them are jut staffing with a Solutions ribbon. Customers can see through this and it cheapens the brand and hurts the sales cycle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior Management needs to spend more time in local markets. They do not do that here. They make changes and judgments from a far not really knowing the local markets. Not just in So Cal but across the country.

I worked at Experis full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Little hand holding and if self-motivated you will learn a bunch on the many different units within that office. The culture is fairly chill (nothing high stakes going on) and laid-back in terms of the dress code (no clients ever come through). Once you get that big picture understanding from learning things on your own you will be equipped for life beyond there at another back office.

    Cons

training was non existent on how and why all the units do what they do to function (which is where your own motivation levels have to kick in). As for the atmosphere - I think you will walk away perhaps liking and being friends with one or two people. The management there may not acknowledge you at all - i said less than 500 words to mine in the 6+ months I was there. I got more positive feedback and experience from the sales team than my own manager but that's life I guess.

When it comes to pay, this company is usually well below market so do your research because there is ALWAYS money on the table...companies just hate separating with it.

Don't get a tech job through these guys, especially for "financial clients."

I worked at Experis as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

The staff there are nice enough. They will try to work with you and get you where you need to go, as long as it isn't a tech position.

    Cons

The account manager isn't technologically inclined at all and is ignorant of the details of positions she offers to job seekers. If you're looking for a tech job, don't use this company. The background check process is grueling and their timesheet system is convoluted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you're going to provide technology services to clients and tech jobs to jobs seekers, then you need management that is technologically inclined. Get with the times.
