    I worked at Extranomical Adventures (More than a year)

    Pros

    offer complimentary tours for employees

    Cons

    1. the worst company I have ever worked for 2. ask the employees to work on every American holiday including 4th of July, Christmas, and New Year's Day etc. 3. very low pay, less than minimum pay of CA 4. hire many international interns to work in IT and reservation and marketing department, they work the same time and workload as the full time employees but only get half salary 5. there is no any training 6. It's forbidden to talk any word during work and at the same time under camera surveillance 7. very bad management; most of the managers quit the job in a short time since they start it; sometimes the intern is in charge of the office 8. there is no respect to employees and the boss always yell at the employees

    Please show respect to your employees. happy employees lead to happy customers and happy company

    I worked at Extranomical Adventures as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Free tours for the employees

    Cons

    - There is no training for IT interns within this company - There is no skilled manager or IT skilled supervisor for interns/trainees - If you are used to work in a team. This is not a good place for you. - Interns are hired only because they are able to do the same amout of work as regular stuff but they can be paid less than minimum wage required by law + they have to work during most of the US holidays - Low moral of all employees - Employees are usually forced to work on tasks they never agreed to before signing the contract e.g. secretary fixing water filters, tour coordinator fixing cars...

    Advice to Management

    Comunicate with your employees and respect your customers. A happy employee leads to a happy customer.

    I worked at Extranomical Adventures as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The coworkers are very nice (awesome people to work with and it’s the only reason why anyone stays)

    Cons

    - Training is non-existent even for the interns, you get one week of lecturing and instructing on the operations in the department. After that you are thrown in the daily routine. - The owner of the company is not concerned about well being of his employees. Everything is done at his dictation, even if an intern asks an unpaid day off it must be coordinated with the owner and he usually says no to these requests. - The working shifts are so inadequate and inconvenient that you will have a lot of troubles scheduling your daily activity. - Even though interns do the same amount of work as regular staff and work really hard they are very low paid as regular employees pay is just minimum wage. - Efficiency? What's that?! If you expect new work methods to be developed and applied, this is the place where you’ll forget about it. - If you work there, be prepared to receive lots of complaints from the customers as there’s a lot of deceptive information on company’s website. The customers are not treated very well either as the company policies are very strict. - Employees have to work on public holidays and are not allowed to have 10 minutes break as regulated by the law.

    Respect your employees and customers.

    Pros

    - Complimentary tours on a standby basis

    Cons

    - Condescending, merciless and amoral owner putting a lot of pressure on all of his employees - Extremely challenging work environment where communication and teamwork are non-existent - Company culture revolves around money and illegality - Use of foreign interns/trainees as cheap labor - Interns are required to work on Labor Day and Independance Day (for the same salary) - Interns only get two vacation days for a one-year placement - No manager/supervisor in the IT department - it only consists of a couple interns - Tour company with vehicles in bad condition, leading to frequent breakdowns - Turnover is incredibly high due to unhappy employees and interns quitting regularly - The "Sales & Marketing Assistant" position mostly entails tasks such as packing suitcases for trips the intern is not even taking, or tasks such as setting mouse traps and cleaning up after others

    Happy Hours and complimentary tours for employees

    Cons

    - High level of micromanagement within the company - Run down tour vehicles cause frequent breakdowns - Employees required to work through most of US holidays - Low pay compared to average wages on the market - No skilled IT specialist to supervise interns, use of outdated programming technologies - Lack of culture, challenging work environment - Overall low moral

    Stop abusing your employees.
