    Decent hourly pay, but staff and management were too paranoid of their workers.

    Being a coach is rewarding, but micro-management made it an unpleasant place to work

    ProsConsistent part time hours, hourly pay is decent

    ConsEmployees were lacking morale. I had an annoying lead that would constantly use the phrase "he, this is better than retail!" to motivate employees. I expect leaders to be passionate about the job they are doing--not surfing sports websites all day.

    Advice to Senior ManagementHire better leaders who actually value the work we do as educators.

    Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Most unethical place I have worked at. Unfair to employees and had a very unprofessional overall management team.

    ProsThe advancement and ability for the kids to excel academically. Good tight net relationships with fellow coaches who worked good as a team and shared similiar beliefs including observations of work environment.

    ConsUnprofessional, extremely unfair to employees, unorganized most of the time, work description constantly changes almost every week, management team its unprofessional and demanding. Employees are just not treated right for the work that they do.

    Advice to Senior ManagementChanges need to be made to the management team. More teamwork needs to be incorporated into the environment rather than constant demanding of employees. That is not they way to solve problems. Overall, the management team is extremely unprofessional and unorganized to say the least.

    Prosuses the internet as a source of learning

    Consseems like a menacing place where the staff just wants to have the spotlight solely on them. Doesn't value face to face interaction

    Advice to Senior Managementdon't intimidate staff! use both face to face interaction and online tools! treat people with respect because they are more likely to flourish!

    One of those jobs that I was not happy to go to every morning

    ProsIt's a good side/seasonal job for college students
    It's a great cause: Offers free tutoring to low income families

    ConsManagement and HR were not great at all, Very unenthusiastic work place, A lot of work to be done in a small amt of time, especially on the weekdays As an employee, I felt rushed/pressed to finish my work in order to take a full, required 15 minute break/30 minute lunch before returning to work

    Advice to Senior ManagementManagement and HR needs to communicate with their employees more. Breaks were cut short because there was simply too much to complete before employees were forced to take their 15 or lunch.

    -nice management
    -compassionate tutors and staff
    -overall friendly management
    -pizza Thursdays
    -reasonable break times between tutoring sessions

    Cons-company's main focus is on maximizing revenue and education second.
    -seasonal layoff during the summer months
    -online teaching is limited compared to traditional teaching

    Pros-Consistent schedule (until the end of the school year)
    -Good job for people in college
    -Laid back with easy work
    -Pays above minimum wage
    -Weekly meetings to voice opinion
    -Assist students in areas that they have trouble with

    Cons-No room for promotion
    -Leads favor certain coaches
    -Online systems and computers freeze, crash, or change

    Advice to Senior ManagementTreat everyone fairly and equally b/c it's not a popularity contest with cliques.

    Lack of consistent work. Misrepresentation of job placement. Miscommunication with area manager about advancement.

    ProsWork directly with underserved communities. Use of foreign language, Their cause is meaningful. Their treatment of employees is not.

    ConsPoor management. Unpaid hours. Frequent relocation of school sites. No real perspective on future campaigns.
