    Pros

Good experience. Nice people. Good for a resume. Well run company. Solid employee benefits. Overall an enjoyable and valuable experience

    Cons

Tough to manage work and home life although that could be said of any job. Not a very challenging job although this could also be listed as a pro for some people.

I have been working at ExxonMobil full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This company has it all! Best employee training. Best Salary structure. Best performance promotion system. Best work locations. Best defined benefit plan. Best savings plan. Best Medical Plan. best overall benefits package.

    Cons

There is not much to say with regards to "cons" for this company. It may not be providing the best sector returns to the stockholders. I do not like the little red stop sign they force me to put on my corporate credit card.

    Pros

The job stability is great because contract lengths are mostly on an annual basis.

    Cons

Working as a contractor, there are no benefits and your chances of becoming a full-time employee are slim.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not micro manage. It demotivates us the folks that make you look good.

I worked at ExxonMobil full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great exposure to all aspects of business and there are some very clever, experienced people to work with and learn from at XOM.

Share Scheme and pension are good. Base pay is in the upper third area.

They are a very ethical company.

A great company to buy shares in but the going can be tough for the staff - the organization is constantly changing and the opportunities in Europe are limiting as the company continually reduces headcount.

    Cons

It has a very strong emphasis for internal controls and safety; sometimes it seems OTT. This may not suit everyone; entrepreneurial spirit it not really required in this highly developed, 'heavily controlled' organization.

I don't think they really trust their staff.

Some top mgt can be overbearing - almost bullyish.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open with staff. Tell them what's really going on and what opportunities there are or not

    Pros

Great work environment. Encouraging management and promising projects to work on.

    Cons

It takes very long to be promoted within this organization, which does not mean it is not worth the wait but that it is not an easy thing to handle if you are seeking a promotion in the near future.

Thanks for the feedback. Safety is an important aspect of our job and a key component of our culture due to the inherent risk of the oil and gas business.

I worked at ExxonMobil as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

I was given the opportunity to expand my skills and learn new software. My supervisor was very in touch with my work and willing to assist. My colleagues were also very informative on the nature of their work. I was hoping for education, exposure and experience and I achieved all three.

    Cons

There were no issues during my program
