Pros – Family owned. Most everyone there is friendly. Customers are friendly and fun to talk to. Understanding and caring HR department. Learned much from sales manager when he shared his knowledge. Can make good money with hard work even if you have little education or experience behind you. Can make better money if you know plumbing and/or HVAC. Most people there do not and lean too heavily on the few that do and get paid the same base pay.
Cons – The company is growing too fast to have time to properly train you. There is a ton to learn and a massive software program to master in a short time frame. They really expect too much from the customer service dept especially for their pay. They are focused more on making money instead of focusing on making their current customer base happy and letting the money roll in from that. They are spreading themselves thin in every direction. Sad really.
Advice to Senior Management – Spend more time side by side teaching and coaching. Find more time for product training. Everyone could do their own homework but then the Life/Work balance becomes unbalanced which does not make for happy employees.
