I have been working at F5 Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and great internal career opportunity. Good work-life balance. Surrounded by very sharp and smart people. Overall, I really like this company as they are not treating employees as just an expendable resource but pay respect to individuals who are willing to contribute.

    Cons

Start to see too many middle management tiers that makes the company not as agile as it used be and lost focus on things. But overall it is still far better than typical enterprise-ish organization where managements are doing nothing but political games.

I have been working at F5 Networks full-time

    Pros

Exciting technology, smart people, great culture. There is always something new and exciting going on particularly in our field: security and cloud. Can't say enough positive things about this company

    Cons

The company runs a tight ship and each employee is expected to perform at their best. It isn't necessarily a con, but if you are the one that just want to cruise and be lazy, this company isn't for you.

    Advice to Management

I think my suggestion only is to continue to innovate like F5 always has, and stay on top of the technology trends. I would have to say that F5 is doing a very good job at this at the moment.

I have been working at F5 Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work/life balance is encouraged. Employees are truly valued. Excellent collaboration, and education.

    Cons

Can be difficult to start a career because so many positions are highly technical.

    Advice to Management

Ask not what your employees can do for you, but what you can do for your employees.

I have been working at F5 Networks (Less than a year)

    Pros

Open door policy, an intern can walk in a director's office and ask questions. Good organization between teams, good benefits, ability to move within the company provided you stay at least one year in a position.

    Cons

No good systems to lead interns into a permanent position, each team gets a headcount for each quarter and it is up to the intern and to luck to find an adequate job offer and go for it.

    Advice to Management

More efforts to get interns who perform well into permanent positions.

I have been working at F5 Networks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Your integrity is a key factor on getting a job with F5. I look forward to going to work - and truly feel that I work with people that are passionate about what they do. Many companies in the Seattle area claim the same, F5 is the company where you can see it. Good benefits Neutral on salary Much needed changes and upgrades to HR systems are finally being done

    Cons

Very limited flexibility on working remotely - yet space is almost at capacity and parking is over capacity Little opportunity in continuing education type courses - lack of budget

    Advice to Management

Don't lose sight on where we have come from- F5's culture is what we brag about.

    Pros

The best place to find smart people. Great work life balance, benefits and more.

    Cons

Middle management is getting worse day by day, people coming from bigger brand companies start to spoil F5 culture by playing politics

I have been working at F5 Networks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is where I began my career. It will always be precious. I was pampered enough when I was an intern. I was given some amazing work to do. Very different from interns in other companies. I received great help within and outside the team. I was converted to full-time based on my work. Full-time is way more challenging. Everyone seems very nice and smart. And the kitchen supplies keep getting bigger :D And it's all free :P

    Cons

The company is at a peak. Will it be able to sustain a fall?

    Advice to Management

Careful with your hiring there. Get some young crowd out here. F5 is known to be difficult to get into. Let's keep it that way.
