    Pros

They have great products that work to solve the challenges of future manufacturing. The staff is pleasant and great to work with.

    Cons

It can sometimes be challenging to work effectively with others outside your department on process improvement projects. Some departments prefer to use contract labor for extended periods.

    Advice to Management

It would benefit the organization to have better inter-department communication to improve efficiency.

    Pros

Nobody over your shoulder for the most part.

    Cons

The shift manager outright lied to me. I was hired to work in a particular area, someone in another area quit and I was asked to help out over there on the explicit understanding that it would be temporary until they filled the empty spot. Once they did I thought I could go back to my original department, but was fired instead.

    Advice to Management

    Die in a fire.

    Pros

    The benefits are really good.

    Cons

Not much real training, you're ON YOUR OWN. No safety awareness/training.
The management is focused on increasing the output quantity AT ALL COSTS. They do use psychological torture and mind games to get what they want. If they don't get it, they accuse the employee(s) of industrial sabotage and fire them.
They could just train the employees better.
    Pay seems a little low.
Meetings during lunch, so it won't interfere with output.

    Advice to Management

Employees are real people, not robots.

    Pros

    Very cool technology.
Involvement in full product life cycle from board bring up, design, and development to testing, quality assurance, and support.
You work with very good/smart engineers.

    Cons

Communication could be better. A lot of things a "secret" and shared little by little on a "need-to-know" bases.
Decisions can be a bit conservative.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Invest in your young engineers before its too late.

    Pros

Good robot products and market penetration.

    Cons

In spite of an outstanding financial position of its parent company, Fanuc Ltd. of Japan, the US operation still shed outstanding employees at the first sign of a downturn in business. If you want to be an engineer in the systems business or buy an integrated robotic system, forget Fanuc Robotics. They only want to sell bare robots and leave the integration business to others.

    Advice to Management

Why don't they communicate forcasted financial difficulties to employees to enable feedback necessary to secure aditional business and reduce operating expenses without major headcount reductions. Why was there no "All hands on deck" battle cry to give employees a chance to fight.

In spite of presentations by the President ,as late as Oct 2008, that forcasted 2008 results to be another record year in terms of number of robots sold, the company still slashed headcount significantly in Jan 2009. Why were these upcoming difficulties not communicated to employees?
