    Poor management costing millions

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Lake Mary, FL

ProsI have a lot of autonomy.

ConsManagement is so concerned with quantity, that the quality of the hardware and the software is appalling. The product management is disastrous, and the lack of design, planning, quality assurance, and testing cost FARO millions in customer service, training, documentation, lost customers, and tarnished reputation.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry and use the software. Hire some project managers.

    Great Company. Good Opportunities

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsOpen Culture. Learning Driven. Plenty of chances to do well and have fun if you are willing to work.

ConsCompetitive. Can be difficult to succeed if you are just looking to scrape by.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the forward progress.

Good experience, not a lot of professional growth

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Lake Mary, FL

ProsGood people to work with, great benefits, open door policy with management

ConsDoesn't seem to be a whole lot of strategic direction, there was not a lot of opportunity for professional growth, and for a metrics driven company, there are a lot of people there who get by on doing the bare minimum amount of work

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Lake Mary, FL

ProsSmall company, nice people, nice location

ConsIncompetent management, business processes all over the place

Advice to Senior ManagementListen and connect with employees. They aren't your children and shouldn't be treated as such.

The absolute worst place to work!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Lake Mary, FL

    ProsNo pros come to mind.

ConsEverything is a con here especially the management team.

Advice to Senior ManagementDestroy the entire management plan and start over.

Shocking C-level incompetence. No direction. Drastically-weakened middle management. Morale down, everyone scared.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsStrong HR department in terms of employee benefits. Automatic 401k enrollment. Holidays are celebrated openly. I feel like middle management (those few that are left) genuinely care for their employees and try to improve business. Good overall reputation. Good products. Service department is wonderful.

ConsNo info on strategic direction, no transparency by upper management. Was a great place to work until the CEO fired most of the upper & middle management. Entire organization is sales-driven--the tail is really wagging the dog. Not enough investment in R&D.

Advice to Senior ManagementTell employees what is going on. Is there a plan?

Faro growth is based on manufacturing sector performance

Vice President Marketing (Former Employee) Lake Mary, FL

ProsCompany aggressively pursues global presence and brand awareness in Enterprise wide quality control and inspection solutions

ConsQuestion of USA saturation, and limited new product introduction pace and differentiation

Advice to Senior ManagementDrive to find adjacencies to diversify your portfolio and offset regional and global economic manufacturing uncertainity.

    Talented individuals not appreciated

Inside Sales (Former Employee) Lake Mary, FL

ProsGood pay and benefit structure but watch your back when times are slow

ConsNo matter how talented or successful you may be your time is limited.

Advice to Senior ManagementAppreciate and hang on to talented and successful individuals in good times and bad. Markets are cyclical when the down times are over your talent is gone.
