    Pros

It was a great starting point for entering the manufacturing industry. I learned a lot and was able to make contributions I was proud of.

    Cons

First the pay, its the lowest of the Big 3. They pay straight time to salary for overtime hours worked and you have to work overtime to keep up with production numbers as well as completing projects as their is not enough time in a regular schedule. There is no meritocracy. They pick and choose who they want to move up rarely based on qualifications. Its a brown nose atmosphere. Not to mention they want you to embrace this WCM methodology which is alright but the decision makers don't. They make it impossible to put into use this methodology because they're stuck in their old ways. That is until audit season comes then they want to jam it down your throats and pretend they encourage it for score, then back to the same old thing. I see good hardworking people overlooked for idiots who stay in the bosses face and its sad. They also don't give salary employees profit share which sucks when your counterparts at the other companies do. Either way thanks for what I needed to move on. I just accepted an offer with the other guys,(GM).

    Advice to Management

Become a meritocracy. Leave the good old boys club at home. It has no place in the workplace. Or anywhere for that matter. Also if you have no intention of moving someone up, stop blocking them from going to other places in the organization that does want to promote and utilize them. You're losing great talent from misusing and not given credit where its due and its a shame. I want to see you do well despite my leaving. I have friends and family there that depend on their income and careers from you guys.

    Pros

FCA: Good culture, great location, large but not too large of a company.
Engineer: The job is fun, demanding, and exciting.

    Cons

FCA seems to lack stability and consistency in decision making. The job requires more powerpoints than engineering focused work. Too much time in meetings and changing direction. FCA also takes political stances that I do not agree with some of the time.

    Advice to Management

If FCA is going to produce fuel efficient, weight efficient vehicles, a lot has to change. Less presentations, more doing work. Engineering solutions do not happen in meetings. They happen in small group engineering sessions. We tend to talk too much about problems, instead of solving them.

    Pros

The work is exciting and engaging and the products are exciting. Co-workers are smart and all work hard.
There are many areas to work in with a breadth of experience

    Cons

Management likes to keep piling on work
Pay is not where it should be for the workload
Because the organization is flat there are too few promotions

    Advice to Management

Promote people more often and don't keep piling on work.

    Pros

large intern network with fun opportunities. Opportunities to test drive new vehicles. Inspiring "made in Detroit" attitude.

    Cons

Some interns had better experiences than others. I personally had little to no work on a daily basis, where others had extremely rigorous and enriching workloads. It really depends on your department supervisor. Definitely look for more projects if your assigned ones are not challenging enough.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget about your interns. They want to learn; don't treat them like they are a hassle.

    Pros

Pay and Bonus was good. But there is a reason, they got to pay well or no one would work there.

    Cons

Bad leadership. Make one quick bad decision after another. Poor quality in design and execution. Executives and Directors are mostly bullies. Micro-managing is the way things are done. No caring for people. No focus on quality or doing things right. Working at CTC WHQ is like working in a prison. Parking sucks and the place is huge. Once you are in, you can't easily leave to get away.

    Advice to Management

Need to let a lot of the top to middle people go. Sergio is trying to fix it, but the bad leaders are dug in.

    Pros

The company has good salary rates.

    Cons

Poor management, you can't develop if you don't have connections, Manufacturing Finance is the worst area to work in the company, because is managed in an emotional, moody, temperamental way. It Doesn't focus on the important things and so far is being rated as the work place to be in the whole group

    Advice to Management

Change the working environment on the area, the first thing is getting rid of the people that has been doing the same thing more than 10 years without achieving good results instead of having an awful area management.
