    Pros

FCA or Fiat Chrysler Automotive ,as a company has many opportunities.

    Cons

Nepotism is the key to your success. In some plants it is more apparent than others.

    Advice to Management

Pay the management work force what the competitors are paying their work force. Utilize your team based on their knowledge, skills, and abilities, not placing a square in a round hole.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time

    Pros

Big company with opportunity for cross-functional assignments. Vacation and benefits on par with peers. Some departments starting to allow work from home/remote. The headquarters in Auburn Hills is aesthetically very nice and has a lot of amenities.

    Cons

CYA culture in some groups leads to lack of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Politics play a big role in hiring and advancement. Too many levels of management. No automatic pay raise even for good annual review. No 401k match.

    Advice to Management

First and foremost, Product, Product, Product. Don't forget the lessons learned during the Daimler days, and your most valuable resource is your employees.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent wage and benefits once hired in full time. Consistent raises. Backed by the union (UAW) once you are hired in full time.

    Cons

Not a permanent employee until hired full time, most benefits are minimal until full time, limited working days, can be "unscheduled without notice.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time

    Pros

The people at this company are passionate about what they do. They are hard workers and are proud of the products they produce. The company promotes movement and progression. The only way you will likely get "stuck" is if you stop looking for opportunities. The main facility in Auburn Hills is really nice, too.

    Cons

The management seems to make questionable decisions at times preferring to save money over anything else. It is difficult to release quality components and vehicles when funding is severely cut.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Let's get out from underneath all the other manufacturers. I know we can do it.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, vacation time, benefits. If in the right department, really feel like you are making a big contribution to the company.

    Cons

Some people in management positions were put there just because there was no one else after bankruptcy. HR is awful. Everything depends on your manager; if he treats you well, consider yourself very lucky. Low work/life balance, but that is to be expected in auto.

    Advice to Management

Let people move laterally as well. Don't hire people just to hire; there are many people that are here that I'm not sure should be here. Also HR is awful and I'm not sure what they even do here, yet they are one of the most staffed departments when you have other departments struggling.
