    Pros

The hourly people in the Stamping Plant are really good to work with. The pay is good but that is about it.

    Cons

These are most incompetent idiots you could have running a Stamping Plant. They manage through fear and intimidation because they don't have a clue what they're doing. Working the Alternate Work Schedule is just short of selling your soul to the Devil. No investment is being put into the Stamping Plant. The equipment is being run around the clock until they blow it up. This just happened with a press You face harassment from manage if you have a work related injury.

    Advice to Management

You need to fire all the idiots that are running the Belvidere Stamping Plant into the ground. The Alternate Work Schedule needs to be eliminated if you want quality to get better!

    Pros

Compensation, vacation, and sick days are good but health benefits aren't the greatest.

    Cons

Stuck on hierarchy and upper management lack people skills. Don't know how to talk to people or treat people. Everybody is for themselves

    Advice to Management

Change the culture and get rid of the old regime and stop the hierarchy style because the company will not grow like that.

    Pros

Large company, lots of different areas to consider over time. Jeep products are fantastic. Lots of opportunity for improvement. Takes effort.

    Cons

Benefits - no 401k match. Uncertain future. Long working hours. Processes need work. Morale low. More news in media about company than what is shared with employees.

    Advice to Management

Address morale issues. Reward high performers monetarily. Bring in more buyers and reduce support staff. Focus on quality by adding more supplier quality engineers and getting those folks to the supply base regularly.

    Pros

It was a great starting point for entering the manufacturing industry. I learned a lot and was able to make contributions I was proud of.

    Cons

First the pay, its the lowest of the Big 3. They pay straight time to salary for overtime hours worked and you have to work overtime to keep up with production numbers as well as completing projects as their is not enough time in a regular schedule. There is no meritocracy. They pick and choose who they want to move up rarely based on qualifications. Its a brown nose atmosphere. Not to mention they want you to embrace this WCM methodology which is alright but the decision makers don't. They make it impossible to put into use this methodology because they're stuck in their old ways. That is until audit season comes then they want to jam it down your throats and pretend they encourage it for score, then back to the same old thing. I see good hardworking people overlooked for idiots who stay in the bosses face and its sad. They also don't give salary employees profit share which sucks when your counterparts at the other companies do. Either way thanks for what I needed to move on. I just accepted an offer with the other guys,(GM).

    Advice to Management

Become a meritocracy. Leave the good old boys club at home. It has no place in the workplace. Or anywhere for that matter. Also if you have no intention of moving someone up, stop blocking them from going to other places in the organization that does want to promote and utilize them. You're losing great talent from misusing and not given credit where its due and its a shame. I want to see you do well despite my leaving. I have friends and family there that depend on their income and careers from you guys.
