    Pros

    -Good compensation
    -Employee Lease Program
-If willing, will learn a lot in a short amount of time. Expected to hit the ground running.

    Cons

-Poor management. People make decisions based on emotions and not logic.
-No work/life balance. If you aren't working 60+ hours a week, you are looked down upon.

    Advice to Management

Replace all of your senior management with good leaders, people who have emotional intelligence, and those that can effectively manage people. Actually fire incompetent people.

    Pros

Good working environment, ability to learn broad knowledge in the field when beginning. Then you can choose which path you want to go down to specialize in.

    Cons

Difficult to get people receptive to new ideas and approaches to problems. Cost is always the priority so executives will often scrap projects halfway through.

    Advice to Management

Management is pretty good but some managers are more accommodating to the engineers than others. Most tend to give engineers good freedom rather than micro managing.

    Pros

Wonderful place to work if you love cars. You have the ability to move around to work on different things and meet a lot of great people.

    Cons

Human Resources (HR) are the worst in the industry. They have way too much power in hiring and firing decisions and too often select people that will "get along socially" as opposed to getting the work done. Too many times has top technical talent been turned away despite fervent endorsement from engineering management personnel, all because HR felt that they were too reclusive. Those talents end up getting hired at competitors and end up very successful.

Also, pay and benefits are way below the industry standard. You have to love to work there in order to stay, because you clearly aren't doing it for the money.

    Advice to Management

Fire the entire HR team and start fresh. The mindset of HR must change to one that believes in hiring the best candidate for the job, not for joining a social club. Any gaps in social interaction should be addressed with constructive training in a way which engages employees and accepts them for their uniqueness.

    Pros

I have never had a complaint regarding compensation. Many of the people are extremely loyal and helpful. One of the few places left one could conceivably stay for an entire career.

    Cons

Lack of communication is alive and well. Too many levels of management. Mid level management spending too much time climbing the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Upper management seems to have a good plan but things fall apart in the mid level management. Stop hiring so many chiefs and spend a bit more time finding capable Indians.
