    Pros

    1 - There is so much support. Many people in FCm Travel have been in the business for 20+ years. If you are new to the company, you have a lot of help in learning, training, and growing. In the mid to large market space, there is a lot to learn about the industry. Lots of training is involved. 2 - Rewarding what is earned. I am in business development, but every aspect on the business gets renumerated on the satisfaction and success of the clients. It's a good model to hold people accountable to their customers. 3 - Travel. Lots of events. You really get to see the world working in this industry. 4 - People. I have never worked with more motivated people. No one is "out for each other" like you may experience in other companies. In FCm, people really work together to help out. Senior management is also really accessible, and will always be there to support you when you need it. 5 - Mobility - If you are successful, the company does not hold you back. They move you up right away into more challenging roles and leadership. I truly think it's an amazing experience here and I would highly recommend being a part of the culture!

    Cons

    The company has experienced a lot of growth and movement. If you do not like a lot of change, probably not right for you. But if you like working hard and moving up fast, it's a good place to work.

    Advice to Management

    Providing a little more leadership training to those who move up quickly.

    Pros

    Small company, supposed growth and internal opportunities

    Cons

    Got to brown nose and sacrifice your entire personal life to be sucessful there. They watch the clock like you work in a factory. God forbid if you are 5 minutes late to work or have to leave early for an appointment! Then they have the nerve to force you to wear a uniform that you have to pay for out of your own pocket.

    Advice to Management

    Get a life...balance work and home life. Give up on the rediculous uniforms. Business casual is the standard.

    Pros

    this was a quality company for a while they purchased Garber Travel and Liberty Travel , but most people left and those who are left are making a lot of cash because they mark up everthing.

    Cons

    Upper Management is making 10 times more than others and there is no fair distubtion of sales leads. This is a high pressure job, if you don't make the company money you will be let go, No diversity, no hiring of minorities

    Advice to Management

    Compensation plan makes agents mark up the product too high and accounts get upset, there should be fair and equitable compensation .. reservations make nothing and upper management make 10 to 15 times that. No support and Team players,, it is a killed or be killed work enviroment. Hire more experieced people and pay them properly. All upper management is from over seas

    You can learn a lot about the industry here, fun parties

    Cons

    No advancement opportunities unless you party, managers are made to compete with their employees, no ethics

    Pros

    Opportunities are there if you want to transfer globally if you're aggressive enough, and want to do so.

    Cons

    This company seems to be for the young and single. They do not seem concerned about a work-life balance. Just work!

    Pros

    Working for a travel company has some great perks in the industry, none provided by FCm. Take advantage of the industry perks. If you love to travel, they have meetings and conferences all over the world, but you won't have much time to enjoy it. They are generally on weekends (unpaid) and they fly you in on Saturday for a meeting and dinner and fly you out Sunday morning (no FF miles either as they get "sponsors" to cover it). There are some good people (if they haven't left yet).

    Cons

    Benefits are bottom of the barrel. They do not offer annual performance/merit increases - it's an all incentive based system. This can be lucrative, but creates a culture of greed and backstabbing (which they like). It's an Aussie company and they like to party. I once ended up at the bar with the US President and chatted for a bit... I had to buy my own beer -sad. It's a travel company who is still focusing on travel AGENTS and not developing their own online technologies.

    Advice to Management

    You are in a service industry - that means your employees are your only asset - invest in them! No training program and no budget for training your employees is as shortsighted as not investing in technology (even Down Under will embrace that new-fangled-web-thing someday).

    Feeding top seller and praising him. Well it's Corporate travel it is like selling a life boat to someone on Titanic they don't really have a choice.

    Share the wealth. Get better trainers.

    Pros

    Nice management great environment. Lots of friendliness and room for advancement. FCm is growing, and now is the time to join.

    Cons

    Compensation could be better. 1 on 1 time could be better. People are slow to get back to you. It can be busy.

    Advice to Management

    Reply to your subordinates inb a more timely manner so that the paperwork can get done. Otherwise, no complaints here.

    Pros

    Well looked after, lots of goodies from airline and clients every week. Get to travel with team members to different destinations every month. Great platform to explore the corporate world operation. Training given to learn GDS system ex. Galileo,Amadeus. Very friendly Atmosphere to work and experience the travel/tourism world. Opportunity to succeed and grow real quick, Work hard, and you get rewarded. Best place to start the carrier with.

    Nothing negative experience so far. Great place and great people to work with.

    Advice to Management

    Great management . thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. Cannot even think of leaving leaving Flight Centre/Fcm Travel Solution.
