    Pros

I've been with FGP a couple of months. It's been a great company so far. Everyone has been professional, and very nice.

    Cons

No holiday, vacation, sick time pay. Insurance is high, will not keep you from the insurance tax penalty.

I worked at FGP International as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

As a North Carolina resident, I was thankful and amazed to hear from this South Carolina recruiting vehicle. The agents do all they can to make themselves accessible to you from start to finish. They were able to select me for hire after I submitted a resume on a popular employment job site.

    Cons

The home base is South Carolina and opportunities from them for NC is one in a hundred. As an employee, you will need separate log-ins for access to some services, time, and payroll.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to be personable and active in your very professional and hands-on style. Please fight and negotiate for better pay for temps.

    I worked at FGP International

    Pros

Very flexible with parents juggling families; strong brand in Greenville. The people who work there are very nice.

    Cons

a strong percentage of employees graduated from Bob Jones, and the company culture is very conservative and doesn't offer a lot of diversity. Expect company prayer before meals etc. If you don't profess Christianity, well intentioned colleagues may try to witness to you.

I worked at FGP International full-time

    Pros

Professional atmosphere, Pleasant surroundings, nice, young, white people.

    Cons

MUST be young (25 to 29 - 30's borderline - 40's forget it), Caucasian, handsome/pretty, trim, athletic, Type A, hair on fire, (intelligence/common sense or any type of meaningful experience is not required). It is ALL about appearance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have successfully avoided an EEOC Audit by being anonymous...better get on the Diversity train, it's the right thing to do.

I have been working at FGP International full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

We get to change peoples' lives and company cultures every day and get paid to do it. How great is that? You also get to do it with a fantastic team. You hear "family" thrown around a lot these days, but you would be hard-pressed to find a company that embodies that more than FGP.

    Cons

I don't view this as solely an FGP thing, but benefits could definitely be better. A lot of companies are experiencing the same thing. It's just the nature of the changing work place. Recruiting is also something that isn't a 9-5 job. You get flexibility, but if someone were to not like an irregular work schedule and/or long days then Recruiting isn't the career path for them whether it is at FGP or elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep us headed in the right direction. Let's grow, grow, grow.

I have been working at FGP International

    Pros

Many good colleagues. OK place for someone who enjoys recruiting, able to conform to management style and not rock the boat.

    Cons

Leader talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk frequently. Prefers input from selected few, and ignores input they don't want to hear. Moderate turnover. Kind of place that isn't great, but isn't terrible in most cases either. Not much room for growth. Prefers people that agree with him, and most management slots are filled by long time people. Someone occasionally gets thrown under the bus.

I have been working at FGP International

    Pros

Small-time family feel, professional yet casual work environment. Risk takers are appreciated.

    Cons

Not much growth opportunity (fairly flat). Some inter-office politics. Industry dependent on others as our product/service is people.

I have been working at FGP International

    Pros

Tight-knit group of people that care about each other. The atmosphere is casual, yet fast-paced. Always challenging one another to stretch and grow. Routinely get together with team members for team-building events, company get togethers and lunches. Senior management cares about the employees and are always looking for ways to grow and mentor others less-experienced employees on the team.

    Cons

Sometimes being a smaller company means we don't have as large a reach or budget as nationwide companies. We make do with some technology challenges and sometimes lose business due to the fact we are not a nationally based company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work and keep challenging each and every one of us!
