I have been working at FICO full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Technology is interesting and coworkers are great to work with.

    Cons

Management is weak. Executive management even weaker with little connection to the worker bees. Expectations are very high but compensation is low and benefits extremely poor. No real incentives, no opportunities to move up and on, no guidance or even input from management with regards to career path. No training and don't always have what one needs to do the job. No choices either. Sad, what used to be a fairly decent company has really abandoned its employees with the attitude 'don't like get out'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the workers, some of them have really valuable skills and in some cases with a little training could do even more. Offer decent incentives rather than squeezing everyone dry. High turn over is not the answer.

I worked at FICO full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most peers are excellent and care about succeeding. Flexible schedule and ability to work on different projects

    Cons

Executive team is very disconnected from the company. They wonder why they do not have a silicon valley start up feel and it is because they never talk to the people doing the work and ask for any input.
There is not much opportunity for advancement either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come out of your office and talk to all your employees to gather valuable feedback for direction.

I worked at FICO full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Use to be a good company (CR SOFTWARE) until FICO purchased them

    Cons

They were a family owned company and then became a part of FICO. Promised not to lay anyone off and ended letting go of over 30 people. Everyone that stayed was overworked. Started charging for a HSA account and offers no health insurance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making people a number just so you can keep your jobs.

I worked at FICO full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

We provided valuable software to financial institutions. The technology was cutting edge. The entire campus enjoyed working with each other.

    Cons

The only downside was when we hired a CEO from the outside and he gutted the company. Those were a couple of bad years for the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.
