    Pros

Very family oriented culture. FMC Houston culture is focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. Management has guided the business in achieving record financial performance in the midst of an industry downturn. Benefits programs generally above average, historically including company pension contributions beyond standard matching programs. Management is focused on transforming the quality of FMC's products and services, execution and performance to customer requirements. FMC continues to differentiate itself as a systems integrator and industry leader in development of future technologies in subsea pumping, processing, and separation to increase oil recovery both in green fields and in existing brownfields. I'm proud to work at FMC. My experience with FMC has been nothing but positive.

    Cons

Several key challenges exist to improve the business and become even better at meeting customer requirements, however these challenges also present key opportunities for employee development and to take part in key transformational initiatives. While there are opportunities to improve the business, there is great optimism throughout the company and a team orientation.

    Advice to Management

Management has identified the right key focus areas to continue to improve the business and performance. Keep it up!

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

-everyone is incredibly friendly -company sponsors/encourages non-work interaction between employees -good location - intern program is well established with many benefits including intern bonding, field trips, and weekly lunch-and-learn sessions to learn about the industry and company

    Cons

    - industry specific information and protocols were not established leading to everyone relying on different sets of data for analysis - lots of unnecessary training videos

    Pros

FMC provides a fantastic work environment for it's employees. In addition to providing strong traditional incentives such as a 401k and insurance, they also constantly provide activities which build camaraderie and friendships throughout the office.

    Cons

Like at any company, favorites can be picked based on reasoning which is not subjective for promotions. Oil demands a flexible schedule which can be difficult on family life, but is generally worth it.

    Pros

It seems that if you work hard you can move up very quickly. The business is ran very well and I trust management to make good decisions. The company seems to have lots of integrity. Relaxed work environment. You can really take many directions with your career.

The engineering systems aren't very mature and change is happening all the time. The communication systems aren't always effective.

    Advice to Management

Always, always, always promote from within. This is a huge moral boost to employees.
