    Pros

You can learn a lot and use your skills to do good work that the whole world will see. It can be fascinating work if you commit to being the best at it. You will work nights and weekends, because that's when people watch live sports, but you'll get paid for it. If you know that going in, and you have a good attitude, it's a terrific job.

    Cons

I got tired of listening to people who had worked there for 15-20 years complain about it when they -in fact- had a lot more control over their place in the world than they'd have you believe. The negative reviews you read on here are like the National Enquirer. They take a morsel of truth and suddenly there's alien babies. The negative reviews on here are from people who complain about EVERYTHING, all the time, whether they're at work or not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I got along with my managers. They are putting up with a lot from some extremely negative people, and they keep that place running like clockwork. The product is the best in the world.

    Pros

You watch sports every shift. Need I say more? Well, besides that awesome benefit, you get to work with great people, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the commute is convenient because you work opposite heavy traffic hours.

    Cons

Difficult to move up; pay is unlivable in Los Angeles; hours are scarce; have to work weekends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce hires so current employees can work more.

Marketing and Broadcast are Stronger Departments

    Pros

If you love sports you'll be surrounded by it. Also, many positions require travel which can be a perk if you are flexible and want to see the country. If you have a family and work on the broadcast side, reconsider.

    Cons

Sports are non-stop which is the nature of the beast. Depending on which department you're in, you may never get a day off. Also, a company of this size means there are politics everywhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Marketing and broadcast are solid departments for career growth. Strong structure and good challenges. The digital department is weak and lacks supportive management and direction.

    Pros

high pay. good location. great equipment. many days are spent doing nothing. chances to learn different softwares than the normal stuff.

    Cons

management is self indulgent, doing whatever they can to hire their relatives out of bucksville and place them into senior level opportunities. zero room for growth. racism runs rampant because it can.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

you should be ashamed of how you hire and fire people. reconsider your morals. stop lying about the client because the client is yourself.

Former Employee - National Client Service Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA

    Pros

The people that work at FOX are the nicest people. It was a great place to work! Good life/work balance. A very basic entry level, data entry position but a good job to get you to the next level in advertising sales. It would be perfect for any one right out of college or someone who is ready to start over their career in media.

    Cons

Entry level positions offer small salaries. Big corporate form-following paperwork - always!
