    FX Broker Intern

    FX Broker Intern (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsIt was a great interview. An individual from HR went ahead and asked standard fit questions and then handed a document reading today's market news and your told to read it. Afterwards, the hiring manager came in and asked questions scanning over your resume and then asks basic market questions. Just brush up on the economy particularly the FX market and as long as you can articulate well, you'll be fine.

The job was great and gives a strong foundation in market analysis. You also get very good on the phone. The other works are great and enjoy spending time together outside of work. We went to a Rangers Baseball game once which was alot of fun.

ConsSometimes, management may get too busy, and you may be stuck by yourself, but everyone was very accommodating and willing to help.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood health insurance and life insurance

    Conspay interns 10.00 an hr
     Nepotism is unbelievable.
Management is very out of touch..
    Jobs are bait and switch
HR Department is only for company - beware...

Advice to Senior ManagementDo monthly reviews of VPs and HR from employees . The VPs are inexperienced and should be reviewed and sent to CEO. Things would be different if CEO would quit turning their head . Look at all the good people, they are gone!

    The land of dictatorship

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsAt FXCM, they make you learn on the job as quickly as possible, and there are opportunities to grow in that specific field.

ConsSevere hierarchy system where the CEO is the ultimate decision maker even for the smallest company tasks. You will never get to a higher position based on your actual skills, but you will based on the brown-nosing.

    Interesting

    Operations Specialist (Former Employee)
    Plano, TX

ProsIt's a very diverse, new-age company with several international locations to visit and work. The salary is also very good. The opportunity to travel is awesome.

ConsThe management team contained some members that were not fair/approachable and the company has mandatory late night hours that sometimes cannot be avoided which is not acceptable when you have family.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure the management team in place listens to the employees/tries to help more instead of giving random 'errors' or offer ways to improve.
