    Pros

decent work schedule. off every other weekend. Decent pay. keeps one thinking constantly. Vigilant troubleshooting. the actual job of making plastic containers is great.

    Cons

The training is horrible and inadequate. company claims to be "Green" but the paperwork load is astronomical. no retirement. medical insurance sucks and is total pain. off day meetings for nonsense. Ridiculous amount of tail chasing required just to do your actual job of making and producing quality containers. UNNEEDED TAIL CHASING. there is absolutely zero perks. no incentive.
company is very intrusive to the employees life outside the job and is quite sly about doing it.

    Advice to Management

Go back to basics. better training. attendance incentives. job advancement incentives. (better ones)
Replace the entire HR department with those who actually help the employees with issues instead of making them do their jobs all the time.
Get better medical insurance. one less filled with red tape.

    Pros

I really enjoyed getting to learn a new field. Training was A+ if you wanted to learn.

    Cons

Not A FAMILY ORIENTED PLANT due to over 72 hrs a week MANDATORY work schedule ... as a single parent of 2 kids... they didn't seem to care too much if i wanted my days off. WORK OR TAKE A POINT IS THEIR ATTITUDE.

    Advice to Management

    EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION. and FAMILY TIME

    Pros

There are so few positives to working at fabrikal in Kalamazoo, MI. The only one that comes to mind is they pay weekly.. very very low wages.

    Cons

The company pays its workers as little as possible. Walking in the door you work a 12 hour work day. . For 8 dollars an hour... doing the manual labor and the main work here. There is no real opportunity for promotion. The management is so tied together family/promiscuous relations. At will company. I have personally seen people fired for very unfair reasons. . One person isn't held accountable to the same rules as the next. All in all a very unfair company.
